  2. It looks like the hex bolt that bolts down the seat track. I haven't seen the Lambo bolt but I bought a Sparco seat for another car and it came with those to bolt it down to the floor.
  3. I've read the the cat bypass pipes with an after market exhaust and specifically the LOC made it a little louder but actually lowered the pitch instead of raising it. It of course shoots flames with the bypass pipes. I have an LOC on my '07 with stock cats and it's plenty loud already and I certainly don't want to lower the pitch because I enjoy the F1 higher pitch sound I get already. Anyone confirm or deny this?
  4. My seat latch is broken on my drivers seat in my '07 also. Passenger side works tho. What's up with that? Is it an easy fix?
  5. I also have Girodisc Magicpads and absolutely love them. Dust is 90% better, no squeal 98% of the time and can notice no braking difference over OEM although I am not an aggressive driver and have not tracked the car. Could not pay me to go back to the OEM now, so much easier to keep wheels clean. Just washed my car this weekend after 4 months (never drive in the rain and use dust mop after drive) and wheels did not look dark at all.
  6. Superbrightleds.com. Lots to choose from there and very reasonably priced. I gave the names of the ones I chose and some that were a little brighter and whiter that I didn't.
  7. I have owned my car 1 year and have never had the wipers on. I hand wash it and never drive in the rain. I suppose they probably need replacing...
  8. I loosened mine but did not totally remove them recently when installing LED engine bay lighting. It was straight forward just loosening the visible screws top and bottom. The only catch is taking off the lower attachment point of the small strut that holds the bonnet up. It is on a long bolt extension and has to be taken off that before the panel will come off totally. I did not do that step. I don't know how strong the strut is or how difficult it would be to extend it back out to reattach it.
  9. It's been 3 wks and driven it many times and so far they are sticking rock solid. They are so unbelievably lightweight I don't think the sticking will be a problem. Also when wiring them I made sure there was no twisting or traction pressure on them when I pulled the wire through the small hole I drilled next to the fixture so it would stick better. Timestwo, what questions did you have regarding the wiring? I had a pic of where I tapped into the side marker light and where I connected the 3 on the bonnet together. I can get more detailed if needed.
  10. HBlambo: There are no wires showing to do anything to. The picture of where I tapped into the side marker is behind the R rear grill and not visible unless you look through the grill up close with a flashlight-just like the original wire I tapped into is only visible then.
  11. For those who asked, here is a pic of the factory locations of the LED's, how they look lit, and a close up of factory and mine. The factory ones are LED instead of SMD LED and so have more a patterned light instead of the diffuse light mine does and that's why I only needed one in the rear instead of their 2 and mine is much better lit from the front of the engine since factory has none in the front. The factory is also mostly white without the bluish HID look.

I did a search about LED's and most everyone had them installed instead of doing it themselves so I started doing research and planning from scratch and this is what I came up with and how I did it. I ordered one each of several different kinds from superbrightleds.com to decide which one gave the look I was after. I just ran a temporary wire from the battery back to decide which I liked best and the best location of each light. I wanted the entire bay lit evenly but more on the dim side than bright side and didn't want spot light/eyeball type of lighting which gave several different circles of light instead of the ambient look I liked. I ended up installing 4 of their FALM--CW4 cool whites. Each fixture has 4 SMD lights which light up 180 degrees instead of non SMD led's which are more a patterned light. The fixtures are black instead of the chrome the factory uses and is more stealth when you raise the bonnet. They cost a whopping $4.95 each. I tapped into the wire that runs to the right rear side marker light accessed through the rear right grill so they come on whenever I turn on the headlights (first pic). I then ran the wire inside the bay behind the right black plastic cladding and up behind the rubber hose that goes up to the bonnet and then after dropping the cover under the bonnet I ran the wires in it and drilled small holes at the fixture site. The front one looked best on the firewall instead of the bonnet cover so I took off the firewall cladding and ran that wire under it to mount that one. I located the front one between the V of the engine (not center of the engine bay) and the rear one between the air boxes (which are the Fabspeed CF covers and reflect the light nicely). They stick with double sided tape provided. They are flexible and very light and stuck extremely well. So far no problem with heat affecting them. I spliced all the wires from the 3 in the bonnet cover together with the main wire (second pic). I ran and tapped the firewall one into the main wire before I ran it up to the bonnet. The pictures look very blue but in person it is more white than that and has the typical blue white color of cool white led's and HID's. I believe they were 6000K color. If you prefer a little brighter and whiter look the AM-RB-CW6 would be for you and still $4.95. They had 6 SMD's instead of 4 and was whiter. I liked the slightly more bluish HID look. It took two weekends of planning and installing but achieved the exact look I was after and I have about $30 total in it. Cheapest mod I've ever done especially for the results!
  13. I have an '07 with LOC exhaust and would not even think of installing it without the heat shield. If you have egear the main unit and lines are near the exhaust and heat will shorten it's life. I've also read about bumpers discoloring from the exhaust heat. I would think it would be a risk without it and no downside to installing it.
  14. Yes they are fixed and the '09 up doesn't even have them-just a flat piece that extends from the fender back
  15. I have an earlier non valve version of the LOC on my '07 and sounds magnificent. I get CEL's occasionally (every month or 2) but they go away after start it 4 or 5 times.
  16. Adam 76, I agree with your great picture graphic except the door handles on my '07 package I are CF. It is however just the circular handle because the center section and the little pull in the middle that operates the latch are in silver. The description table displayed in the automobilemag link reference above does list door as CF in package I. I have seen some with the center section of the door handle unit also in CF and perhaps that is included in the CF package II.
  17. The top button deactivates the interior sensor for the alarm if you have a pet (?) or object left inside that might move around and the bottom button deactivates the tow-away protection feature of the alarm so the car can be towed without setting off the alarm.
  18. Hey Blackberry: It was somewhat overpriced and it was in mid winter when the market is generally softer. He was also a Mercedes dealer and probably more willing to negotiate than a Lamborghini dealer would be.
  19. If it comes down to getting the exact car you want and paying a little too much or settling for a lesser car to save $10,000 then I know what I would do because I did it. I searched hard for 9 months for the exact car I bought in January of this year. It was an '07 coupe yellow/black with all the options and 1200mi. I had set a budget of no more than $120 K. When I found this one my heart lept only to see the $149,000 asking price at a mercedes dealer in New York. Within 2 days I had talked him down to $126,750 and after looking at the big picture of: in 2 years will I be enjoying driving the exact car I wanted more or would I be missing the $6,750 more? I can tell you 10 months later that I am SO PROUD of my car and I don't regret 1 minute spending the extra $6,750 to get it. I mean after all what is $10,000 on a $130,000 purchase? 1/13 of if. Go with your heart and get what you really want!
  20. I agree our standard paddles are too small but those look hideously huge! Any way to tone them down a bit say like on the Ferrari's where they extend above and below the stalk just not to that degree? Kudos to you for trying it though!
  21. I agree with Jefflambo. That's why I said the clutch would wear some better than the original '04/'05 clutch since it is updated but will not wear as long as the '06+ cars because they have higher gear ratios in the lower gears which makes it easier on the clutch at start up requiring less slip to get moving.
  22. Yes, if you replace the clutch with one that the number ends in "F" it will be the same as the newer cars and wear some better. There may even be a "G" update out now- others can chime in.

  24. I have an '07 and ran the stock valves constantly open and sounded good, but just had an LOC installed and it is a little louder and higher pitched than stock constantly open valves and much louder than stock . I really love the sound and is just right for me. I have cats on the car.
