  1. I saw your video at BBi, Dilan...it was actually quite good! I heard the story about how the footage was obtained, so I thought you did a great job of using weak clips from others to cut something together that was actually interesting. The music sold it! It rocked!
  2. I was just at BBi an hour ago. The Porsche is coming together nicely. Should be a WILD matchup. For the record, I don't care who wins. You both have SICK cars. The smack talking is entertaining, but looking forward (and will humbly bow in awe) to seeing who wins. Wish I knew of the date sooner...just found out today that there's a shoot tomorrow...since I wasn't contacted, if someone can fill me in tonight, I will make it out there....BUT, since it's a SpeedTV gig, don't they have to approve cameras? I have FIVE HD on car cameras capable of being used...and THREE more on order. The possibilities going forward are limitless! VR: Great idea...I've heard similar concepts kicked around for some time and I am thrilled that someone is making this a reality. [email protected] if anyone needs to reach me. VR: You have my phone number already, my friend.
  3. If you guys want QUALITY High Def video of this event with On car and/or IN car cameras, let me know. Or, you can utilize the low def SD videos our *friend* uses. He shall remain nameless.
  4. The costs will depend on what they got sold with. Certainly all the classified radar systems and avionics for the weapons systems didn't get sold to him and of course, there's the matter of the engines themselves. The Harrier costs about $35MM new. Jaguars are old technology, but in the late 90's, they were about $15MM new. A few third world countries still fly them and some are used as trainers in the UK.
  5. Hard to tell from the picture, but from what I can see, it's either a Jaguar or an old F5E Freedom Fighter which, if you recall from Top Gun, was painted up to look like some sort of MiG.
  6. Totally agree. Honestly, I shoot all sorts of cars. Some cars are more "photogenic" than others. Lane's LP comes to mind, as do cars like the Enzo and Zonda. But the unique look of the Spykers and Zondas to me, are pure eye candy. I love these cars. IMO, all they need is an overdose of horsepower, not just power that is excessive...I want REALLY excessive. Beyond that, shooting the cars was a joy for us. There simply isn't a bad angle on the car. And Joe, wait till you see the DVD. You're liberally sprinkled in.
  7. Not negative at all...appreciate the feedback. The purpose of that shot was simply to showcase the nice lines on the car. To our camera crew, the cars as beautiful as any exotic we've come across. Perhaps we were TOO in love with them. Appreciate the feedback, though.
  8. Wow...tough audience. They flew everyone in by corporate jet. I call that lavish. What did they serve at the last Lambo event last weekend? The term "CEO Experience" was used to denote the fact that the Spyker CEO was there....unlike Winkelmann last weekend, he stayed for the whole event and personally hosted it which I thought was a nice touch. As for the guy getting off the plane in a t shirt for 'teens,' I wonder if Lambo BH would consider a person dressed in this manner not worth having at their dealership.
  9. I believe the number was, three cars were sold. The new powerplant is classified...they wouldn't say except to hint that it would be in the 500hp range. The cars are built to accommodate V10 powerplants, so I would not be surprised to see something in between. The cool steering wheel? The newer wheel looks a lot like the Gallardo/R8 wheel...I liked that one just fine.
  10. No worries. That's ok, but wait till you drive one with the new powerplant ;-)
  11. Wow, a company that stands behind their wheels. What a refreshing change! As opposed to DPE, for example.
  12. As I recall, the Supra was rented for 45 days. I was paid a daily rental rate, plus money to repaint the car (the car was yellow before they got it...they opted for orange, big wings and ugly graphics) plus mileage. The Skyline was likewise on set for about 30-45 days. Same deal applied. Same for my ex wife's Maxima, too. Universal and in particular, that production team on part 1 & 2 were superb to work with, as opposed to the A hole Picture Car team from Fast and Furious 3, Tokyo Dicks. In short, trust no one, get everything in writing, get payment up front and inspect your car before, during and after the shoot or you WILL get hosed...I guarantee it.
  13. Understood. Thanks for the explanation. Did Vik ever serve any time as a result of this debacle?
  14. Stupid question perhaps, but I'll ask it anyway: If Lamborghini corporate wants the whole matter behind them, why didn't they want to be served in order to have their day in court? As a totally neutral third party observer, that seems as if they're concerned that Vik might have a case. I travel around the fringes of the exotic car world and the story I heard was that Vik was sold a batch of cars and shortly thereafter, Lamborghini corporate dropped the prices on cars, leaving Vik with cars that worth $40K less per car (or some number in that range). That's the story that's being circulated around...and I've heard that from more than one Lambo owner and from people close to the situation. I've read all the threads here and have followed the case from the outset. Now, while I have no allegiance to Vik whatsoever, I can say that my service experiences at LOC were superb. To me, it seems like smoke and mirrors and I don't know who's right, who's wrong, or how the matter can be resolved, but I do agree that the entire affair is bad for the brand and candidly, has me looking elsewhere for my next exotic.
  15. $15o0 a day is a fair day rate for a car like that IF IT IS JUST TO BE PARKED, PLUS, they provide copy of insurance certificate. Make SURE you do a delivery inspection that THEY sign upon drop off of your car and then reinspect it upon delivery back to you. If they want to actually DRIVE the car, take a $20,000 deposit. Make sure they also agree, in writing, that your car is not to be smoked in, leaned on, sat on, nor is anyone to lay tools, props, grip equipment or hang lights on the car. I have a fair amount of experience with cars on set...you wouldnt believe how some cars get treated.
  16. FYI: Cars featured Ariel Atom LP640 (Lane) Superleggera (Randy) F430 Scuderia Enzo Carrera GT ZR1 Blown Mustang Blown GT Blown POS F430 Spyder 1000hp Viper Plastic mess-06 C6 Nissan GTR Ford GT Several top bikes including turbo Busas Also featured: Hot chicks busting out of tight swimsuits It's hedonism and hot rods and its best. I think Joel is planning another one and we're dying to get a super fast L-car out, like a TT Gallardo. Joel and I have talked at length and I sincerely believe he has no problem getting skunked by a faster car. Obviously, folks on this board would like that to be an L branded car, so perhaps you can assist us in finding the right candidate. And Randy, next time you race, leave your passenger behind! LOL
  17. Here's something more to whet your appetite. NEW Trailer...more Lambo Content
  18. Let's just say that the Lambo surprised me, the guy who shot the damn DVD. Have no concerns about fairness or bias, I can assure you that I make every effort to tell the story clearly and that no one gets the short end of the stick. In other words, the Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche, Viper and POS fans will have their moments of glory in the DVD. As of this writing, DVD is being output right this moment. And Lane, your car looks amazing in the video. For those of you who hate Corvettes, simply fast forward to the half naked chicks. Thanks to the Lambo guys who came out, by the way. Looking forward to having a few more at the next shoot.
  19. My source tells me that changes are coming and that Lambo Miami is going to be the core focus of its current owner.
  20. Your spelling is the least of your worries, douchebag. You're the one still effin whining to try an impress your butt buddies here. Keep telling yourself these things if that's what makes you feel better. Don't fvcking whine about my calling you on your spelling, girl-boy....you cast the first stone about cogent sentences. Fvck...I'd be happy if you proofread ANY of your posts, starting first with filtering out your BS rants. You my friend, need your own TV show. Usually, I reserve these judgments until I've met someone in person, but in your case, I'll make an exception. My friends and I are having big laughs at your antics! Thanks for the entertainment, stud. Say...I've got a bet with these guys that you'll start talking about your superior male anatomy before page 6 on this thread. Wanna help me win $1000? And keep telling me to be gone, bro. I was here before you and I'll be here long after you stuff your pimped out Murci...it's only matter of time.
  21. It was NOT aimed at David at all. It was a general observation taken from personal experiences. Why not? Why let the guy ramble on? NNN, FYI, canceled all of their automotive programming except for Fast Lane Daily. If Bikini Driving School is ever resurrected, it will never be porn, nor will it be a car review show. Turns out more YouTubers enjoy that type of programming than die hard car guys...not surprising, I suppose. Completely immaterial to our discussion, however. I agree with you to an extent, yet your own post noted that you checked with Jason, knew this guy was legit and still chose not to jump in and set the guy straight. I honestly don't get it. I'm not really sure what you meant by that, but I for one am looking forward to working with the guy. To be honest, the way I see it is as follows: Guy invites Lambo owners out to DVD shoot on Runway. Members bash him. I chime in and note that Gallardo owners might be a better bet. Wiggs chimes in assertions about my IQ (but is unable to spell a string of words together correctly for two consecutive sentences), his wealth, etc. In reviewing David's assertion about my "Murci wrecked videos," I agree....it was a tongue-in-cheek ribbing that was (up to that point), undeserved. My apologies. It was meant as a ribbing, not a direct attack on anyone in particular. Does that about sum it up? Still, Wiggs assertions of wealth and superior intellect are beyond reprehensible and while a couple of you might be drinking the same Kool Aid, I now know what to expect from members who defended his infantile approach. Sorry, but anyone who uses his money to assert supremacy is a tool of the highest order, as is anyone who defends that nonsense. I'm sure you and I will run into each other at local events, perhaps we can agree to disagree in person then.
  22. Dude...are you kidding me? This goomba started with an attack on me, so I replied in my own defense. He then proceeded to run his mouth, then ducked behind his checkbook as if his bank account balance somehow made him superior. And you're defending the guy? Sorry, I have a problem with that and if you really know me, you know I speak my mind. You guys don't want to come to the event, fine. You're not doing me any favors. I merely marveled at the hostility of what (up to now) had been a relatively tolerant community. My "weak attempts" to procure downloads as you noted procured us the #3 most downloaded show on Podcast during it's first season and more than 6,000,000 views on YouTube alone. While it wasn't the show I wanted to produce, it served its purpose: it made the client money. You're right in your assessment that the world does not revolve around who is the better track guy. He took exception with me noting that most Murci's never see track duty, but he was the one that invited me to the track in the first place. Go back and read the posts in order. I can appreciate the notion that forum regulars stick together, but his posts were rude and challenging from the onset and I make no apologies for responding as I did.
  23. FASTLANE: That was an assumption made by someone and that was not this guy's intent. His intent was to produce a good DVD program with a wide range of cars. He just happens to own a modded POS. I don't think the guy will have any problem with another type of car running faster than his "beloved" POS. This exact type of event has been run in Florida on at least a couple of occasions and everyone had a great time. There was a wide array of cars, including Lambos. From what I heard, all egos were checked at the door. That does not seem to be the case here, at least with a select few. My general observation has been that the Gallardo crowd seems to be more focused on performance and will track their cars while the Murci folks don't participate as much...having driven many a Murci, I realize it's not the best autocrosser, but a top speed challenge (I'd have thought) would be right up any Murci's alley. In reality, there will be independent speed verification done at the event with calibrated equipment from what I understand so if you're thinking of attending Fastlane, it'd be great to see an LP640 run...I know those cars are easily capable of topping 200mph. And Dave, at 43 years old, I know that my receding hair line means one thing: the more hair I lose, the more head I get. Gosh, I wish I was as cool as you.
  24. Ahh, here we go. When a Lambo owner is cornered, his template reply is always "I am worth more money than you." Great. You're a gold plated tool and a classless, pickup truck, big woofered-in-my-Murci having no talent ass clown. Your grammar, spelling (as evidenced by the above) and lack of intelligent replies beyond the stereotypical "I have lots of money, therefore, I must be superior" is predictable and boring as is your "be gone" comment. Same M.O. from these douchebags...outwitted, called to the carpet and challenged publicly only to retreat behind lame assertions and your check book. "When my car is done...." ROFLMAO. What? You need more woofers and more red suede? You're the one with earrings, fudge packer. Your trophy wife does not mask your true sexuality and the sunglasses further bolster my analysis. Great. Get your car done champ. Good luck driving it with my foot up your ass. Can't wait to see your Murci wreck captured on video like all the others. I'll be checking back often.
