  1. This guy bought a 458 recently from CA: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/458-itali...to-ontario.html
  2. Sounds right. Anyone do this to an Aventador yet? Is this a quick visit to the dealer?
  3. I'm going off of what Assman said earlier in the thread. Personally, I can't point to actual technical reasons for Canadian cars being considered second class citizens beyond the simple fact that they're Canadian.
  4. Buyer looking. Targeting an early '12 Aventador with low miles (sub-5000). Trying to get an idea of what's a good number for this given the "grey market" status here in the US.
  5. Thanks. Anybody on the other side of this? What would it take for a CA car to be worth it? $280k US? $270k? $250k?
  6. Given the currently favorable exchange rate, is it worth it to take advantage and bring a Canadian Aventador to the U.S.? What would you pay for a decently equipped early (2012) CA Aventador with sub-5000 miles in one of the desirable colors ($320k car if U.S. spec)?
  7. Does a completely stock North American Aventador emit flames from the exhaust?
  8. You are correct that un/underinsured covers damage to your vehicle in situations where the at-fault party lacks sufficient coverage to make you whole. So does collision coverage. Once you have collision coverage, you can spin into a wall in the rain, rear-end someone, or get rear-ended and be guaranteed a payout in full for repairs or replacement even without un/underinsured motorist. You were already fully covered for situations like this without spending the $200. Check the terms of your collision coverage to determine whether that is the case.
  9. Under/uninsured covers damage to your car only if the following conditions are true: -the other party is at fault -you do not have collision coverage Since joebiz opted for collision coverage, he is already completely covered (less deductible) for damage to his vehicle regardless of the terms of the rest of his policy. Under/uninsured property damage coverage does not apply here. In this case, the extra $200 does not buy him any additional indemnification.
  10. I believe under/uninsured coverage is for personal injury only. Your collision coverage covers the entirety of the property damage to your vehicle regardless of fault or the other party's level of coverage.
  11. Who made it about race? No need to jump to conclusions -- read my post again. Wear average Joe clothing while taking a drive, and you can be sure that nearly half of the masses that you meet on the street will be smirking to themselves thinking, "Kit car." So, get out those PP watches and leave behind the Charmin wipes! Nobody likes generalizations.
  12. Would you have immediately suspected "stolen" if it wasn't a "rapper type dude?"
