  1. Guys, Road and Track just arrived and the Cayman sounds great. It ran 4.8 to 60, and 13.3 at 106 through the quarter. No reason to buy a 911 imo unless its a turbo, gt2 or 3. Mako you are the numbers king but I just that it ran 4 seconds faster around the ring than the 997 carrera. Just think where the 997 GT2 will be, since Porsche is saying that the 997 carrera s shaved 20 seconds a lap from the 996. Wonder if the 997 Gt2 could get closer to the 7:32 of the carrera gt, since it will prob. be on Pilot Sports it should be close.
  2. I have owned an "04 Murcie, '04 GT3, '05 Gallardo, and an '04 996 tt w' X50, and the only one I wish I could keep for ever would be the CS. It is the only car to ever scare me, whether or not the others were faster in a straight line nothing could compare to the Stradale when its sucking itself to the pavement above 100mph. The suspension compresses, the motor is staining, the brakes glowing red, and the sensation of speed is unlike any car I've ever owned. The 430CS if made will be something, b/c t given more torque the car would be in a class by itself. That said I have to say the engine really loosend up once it got around 3500 miles on it, in fact driven back to back with the others only the 996 tt felt sig. faster.
  3. Allan, do the doors on the esprit open wide enough? Last one I drove they opened half way. Isn't the 3200 a Gibli a V6 turbo?
  4. Yes, I did also have an electronic boost controller. I just assumed with the upgraded ECU and the car being a turbo and boost controllers being pretty cheap he would be adding one as well.
  5. Allan, I got like 100 hp out of my Supra with an ECU upgrade and larger intercooler. I think your going to gain a lot MORE then you think. My waste gate used to make the best noises. I hope you get similar results.
  6. Motortrend, more numbers showing that the 430 is wicked fast for ONLY 483hp. 0-60 3.7 430, 0-60 3.6 for the GT, quarter mile 11.7 @ 122.8 for the 430, 11.6 at 126 for the GT. The 430 also handlily out braked the Ford and took the overall victory, no skid pad numbers were given. Seems like Ferrari is spot on with their HP rating, or even understated, and curb weight for a change.
