I'll have yours, Dustins, and Brandons cars all warmed up for you guys. I'm nice like that! Tim
  2. How would you not know if it was AWD or not if you dyno'd it?
  3. You will LOVE your UGR TTG!!! You got the best color for sure (Guess I'm a little biased though ). Glad I could be of some extra motivation with the video!! Now be sure to make one yourself when you go down. If not, then I'm sure Jamie, Peter, Kevin, KC, or I could do it for you . Tim
  4. Wasn't sure if the track would stick or not, so I set the car on setting 3 (roughly 1300whp in 4th and 5th gear only), much lower in 1-3rd gear. Got a decent launch for this car(1.9x 60'), got a little wheel hop in 1st gear, tapped the rev limiter in 3rd gear by mistake, and had to shift to 5th gear (don't have a raised rev limiter yet). Ran a 9.96@160mph. Car only went 120 mph in the 1/8th, whereas in TX on setting 4 it went 126mph. Pretty safe to say the car is a SOLID 170+ trap car on setting 4 and a raised rev limiter. I would say it will easily go 165+ mph on setting 4 even having to shift to 5th!! I couldn't get anymore runs in, as they kicked me out for no cage/chute . Hope to have some video soon. Can't say enough GREAT things about this Underground Racing TTG. Words just can't describe the "kid in a candy store" feeling that this machine gives you!! Everyone that rides in it is just in awe at the brutal acceleration that it produces. Thanks again to Kevin, KC, John Reed and all of the Underground Racing crew...truly a job WELL done!!! Hopefully I can get back out to a track again soon on setting 4 . Tim

  6. Well, drove the car for the first time today!! What a ****ing ROCKET!! Got here at 10am and Kevin picked me up at the airport. Quick trip to the shop and then he and I went out in my car to break it in a little Straight to the "kill" setting which is 1250whp on my setup for now . Kevin drives first, and then we pull over and I drive. Did a few 50mph-160mph blasts, and then we go back to his shop, check over the car for any leaks, loose bolts, clamps, etc. All perfect. Go and pick up Jamie Carter at the airport, and go grab some lunch. Back to his shop, and we have no less than 10 Cameras ready. 5 on my car, 3 on Jamies Superleggera, and 2 handhelds. So off we go in two Lambos out to the highway (Jamies is not turboe'd yet). Jamie was with me in my car, and Kevin drove Jamies with Matt the video master. Go out for about 2 hours and do countless pulls for video, and I make no less than 3 40-200+mph blasts while some of them stand outside on the highway, above the overpass, and in the other camera car. Watching a car literally doing 200mph past you at a standstill on full wail is nuts on this video!! I hit the rev limiter (8000rpm) in 6th gear multiple times today!! Then I let Jamie drive the car so I could hear it and see it from the other car. His first time EVER driving a Gallardo, let alone a TTG, he does a 1-6th gear, 200 mph blast past Kevin and I in the other car!! Dude is just straight loony!! So I would say the car is about as bulletproof as anything can possibly be at that power level, when the 3 of us beat the bejesus out of it for a good 2-3 hours straight. No cooldown, no ice in the reservoir, nothing. Talk about quality build, parts, and tuning! You get what you pay for!! Can't say enough good things about the Underground gang and John Reed. The car ran, drove, and rode perfect the entire time. Truly amazing for a car with this much power!! Effortless and smooth were words that Jamie and I used alot yesterday!! After a few pulls I was already comfortable with the power level. It would break loose in 2nd gear pretty good, but once the tires were up to temp. 3rd gear and on was DEAD hooking!! Waxed a few bikes, got a ton of thumbs up, phone pics, cars pacing us etc. The attention this car brings is unbelievable (hopefully not in a bad way in the future). The color in person is just awesome IMO. So glad I got this color. Done with round one of videoing, we again go back to the shop, check the car over again...perfect. Topped her off with more C16 (E85 will be done at a later date). We decide to get some dusk/night video as the car likes to shoot out flames quite frequently, so we had to charge up all of the cameras. We get out a little later than we wanted, but it still turned out really good. This time we leave Jamies car at the shop and they follow us in the camera truck. Jamie and I did about 3-4 60-130 pulls, and with both of us in the car, up a slight incline, we get a few 4.3's and a 4.1 once the car got a clean run with no wheelspin (tires were a little cold on the first couple hits). The car at this power level, and no passenger and brake-boosting, has a solid 4.0 in it, probably more. Take these numbers as a grain of salt though, as I am still feeling out the car and was not shifting it very hard at all. Expect much better times with it once I'm comfortable and some new tires. Some of the night footage is pretty cool, with some nice underpass shots with the car screaming and then big flame balls!! What till you guys see the video. We watched a little of the raw footage, and it is pretty crazy. Hopefully they will have it edited in a week or so. Remember 10 cameras that were on for a total of 3-4 hrs is a LOT of footage to sift through!! If any of you are on the fence or even considering picking up a Gallardo or other exotic and want to turbo it with Underground Racing, DO IT!!! It is worth every penny. Keep in mind that they have packages ranging from 650whp-1900whp!! So if you are a little gun shy about getting into a real high hp car for the first time, they have you covered with packages from mild to INSANE, and can fit into most budgets as well!! That way you can work your way up the ladder as you are more comfortable with the car/power level. See you all in TX at the National Supra meet!! Can't wait!! Tim
  7. Yes it does!! Glad I found this one!! Thanks, and yours looks great with the new coated parts!! Yes I plan to. I believe they will be tuning it on pump and race gas tomorrow, and then John Reed will do an E85 tune in a few weeks. Tim
  8. She's done for now!! Kevin and KC just have to dyno it tomorrow, and I'm flying in Saturday the 19th with Jamie Carter to test drive it!! Thanks to Kevin for the "loaner" set of wheels for this photoshoot too!! My HRE's should be ready in the next few weeks!! Can't say enough about Kevin, KC, John Reed, and the rest of the Underground crew. They were all GREAT to work with, but even better was I made some new friendships out of this project!!
  9. Yes, you are correct. It adjusts boost levels, timing, and fuel trims with feedback from a flex fuel sensor plumbed into the fuel system, and makes the necessary trims accordingly. Tim
  10. Yeah, I actually have a PorEfi at my house that I was going to put into my Supra. Kevin and Johns Motec system does the exact same thing also. Eric has the MoTec on his Gallardo right now as well setup that way. Tim
  11. Honestly I'm not real sure. Maybe Kevin can chime in. Tim
  12. Getting closer and closer!! Kevin and gang hope to have it done this Wednesday for initial tuning. I also went ahead and did headwork, Tilton, and axles. So I just need a Motec and gears to be able to safely make 1500+whp. Tim
  13. Its still been in the tank and sitting in the lines for those two years!! I'm not here to say that it won't ever be a problem, just giving my own personal experience is all. I'm sure I will be more cautious with it in the G with how expensive its engine is compared to a Supra. I will be sure to run some regular fuel in it from time to time to "flush" the system. Tim
  14. We will have to wait and see!! It was atleast my idea first!! The car should make about the same power on E85 as it would on C16 or equivalent. You will need a bigger fuel system all the way around though, and obviously a custom tune done as well. E85 will be plenty for my build. Also I have not personally seen any deterioration of any fuel components from running E85 in my Supra for the past 2+years. Good enough info here. E85 is good stuff indeed. Only real downside is the availability is limited, sometimes it can be hard to find. Tim
  15. Back in late '09 at the Texas Mile I saw SW's and Kyles UGR Gallardo TT's for the first time in person. To say I was impressed would be a vast understatement. The build quality was impeccable, OEM quality or better. If you have not seen one in person, you are missing out. They are truly a work of art. I knew then that I would have to have one. SW didn't have time at the mile to take me for a spin in his, so I had to wait until the TX Supra meet the following March to take my first ride in a UGR TT Gallardo. As soon as I saw SW at the meet, I was on him to get me that ride!! Of course he obliged, and we went out on the Mexican highway for a few quick blasts. His car had the 1000whp pump gas kit on it at the time. We were just on the pump gas setting and the car was just insane!! I have ridden in/driven some pretty fast cars, but this car took it to another level, as it drove like a STOCK car until you laid into it. No weird noises, no weird vibrations, no loud as hell exhaust, just a glorious V10 roar!! I was hooked!! Fast forward to November '10. I conversed with Kevin at Underground and my good friend Peter Blach and told them that I had found two possible candidates for my project. One was a yellow '05 manual car with clear bonnet, power/heated seats and yellow calipers with only 2k miles. The other car was a 1 owner '05 Verde Ithaca Gallardo with 6k miles with clear bonnet, power/heated seats, and a new clutch. Both cars were priced about the same. Kevin told me hands down to get the Verde car. He said the color is by far his favorite of all the Lambo colors. I was hesitant, as I had never seen the color in person, but I trusted his choice on the matter. Lucky for me the car was located in Oregon, where John Reed lives. He has been around these cars for over two years now, so it was a logical choice to have him inspect the car for me. I give John a call to see if he could check the car out for me. Being the great person he is, he promptly checked the car out for me and gave it the thumbs up. Another call to Kevin, and he had it picked up in a few days and on the road to Charlotte. I can't think John enough for checking the car out for me during his hectic schedule. I owe you a few beers John (or fruity drinks like what Kevin drinks ). I'm sure most of you have seen Peters build thread. We both had originally planned to get the stage 2.5 kit from UGR. Of course that all changed when he got his car there!! He has since decided to basically go "all" out now!! At this time, I will be sticking to the stage 2.5. Hopefully 1250whp will be enough . We will also be doing a custom E85 setup on my car, so that basically I will be on "kill" at all times. I believe this will be the first "go green" Gallardo as well!! I will update this thread as much as possible throughout the build. I don't have too many pictures yet, as I have not even seen the car in person!! Here are some pictures from purchase and loading it to get "the treatment". Here are some motorless pics!! More updates to follow!! Tim
  16. That thing sounds straight NASTY!!!! Awesome job guys!! Can't wait till my UGR GTT is finished!!! Hurry up boys. Tim
