  1. Something weird happened to me over the weekend. I have an e gear '06 gallardo se. I got stuck in a SLOW line of cars to see Christmas lights. Got stuck there for an hour. Anyone could have walked faster than how fast the line was moving. 40 min into this line, the engine started to stall. I'm guessing that the clutch was getting hot. I had my e gear in A mode. Couldn't keep switching to neutral and then back in gear because the line was constantly creeping forward. After the first stall, i had to switch to neutral and gun the engine to keep it from stalling again. After i got out og the line, the engine and transmission seemed fine. How much damage to my clutch could I do in this situation? Has this happened to anyone else?
  2. What do you guys think of the new Ferrari 458 Spyder? I really like the foldable hardtop. But what I really like is that the lines look great with the top up. Think a foldable hardtop is possible for a next generation G Spyder?
  3. I bought new wiper arms for my 06 Gallardo. The paint was bubbling a little because of rust underneath the paint. I just went to the dealer. Cost about $500. And they had to order from Italy. So it took about 3-4 weeks to receive.
  4. What is a PPI? It's funny that you mentioned buying one in the Miami area. I bought the same exact car you are wanting to buy two years ago from Lamborghini Miami and had it shipped to Texas. I had lots of issues and problems and can give you some answers to your questions.
  5. Wow! I'm impressed. I play around with video on occasion and I know how tough and time consuming it is to get all the shots and edit. How vid cameras did you use?
  6. Another suggestion. I have a ducati 1198s. Upgrading the exhaust is very common on bikes. The ducati is notorious for radiating so much heat from the exhaust pipes that it makes it uncomfortable to ride when wearing thin material pants. It is very common to have the pipes coated with ceramic both inside and outside to help cool it and lessen heat being radiated. Maybe you can do the same for exhaust tips?
  7. Hey guys. I am having problems with condensation building up inside the brakelight housing. It only happens occasionally and only on the driver's side brakelight. And it only happens when the car is driven and it disappears within an hour after parking the car. Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions? Will it get worse?
  8. I just fixed, or improved that problem. I changed the battery on my lambo. That involves pulling out the whole front trunk. You get a good look at the frame and all the tubes and wires. I found the rain water drainage tubes from the front windshield had hardened with age. They weren't tied down to anything. They were rattling around in there. I tied them down with zipties. Made a big difference. Can still hear some suspension noise. But much better!!!
  9. I bought a TPMS on amazon.com about a year ago. Problem I had was the sensors that go on the backside of the valvestem in side each wheel wouldn't fit. The contour of the inside of the wheel wouldn't fit the sensor. So I returned that system and I ordered an older system that I had used before. It's called smarttire. Ordered it from Vulcantire.com. it's different because the sensor is mounted on a strap that fits around the circumference of the whole wheel inside the tire. It's not as clean looking as the sensors that mount to the valvestem. But it works fine.
  10. I just had a problem with the battery on my 06 gallardo. only 6K miles. I pulled the battery and it was exactly the same size as the battery that I replaced on my wife's 06 mercedes ml350. some of the auto stores don't have lamborghini in their system and can't look up the battery. so you can look up mercedes ml instead. i replaced the gallardo battery with an optima yellow top. size 34. works great!
  11. I had the same problem. I used peanut better. Put some on a rag or paper towel and wipe the plastic. Works great. It's been a year and it is starting to fade again. Going to get the peanut butter out again.
  12. I have a Kenwood dnx9140 and had a front camera installed. It's not great. But handy at times. I can get a good idea how close I am to the curb to save my front bumper.
  13. I agree. The OEM stereo was horrible!!! I replaced the OEM with a Kenwood dnx9140, 6.5 in Focal mids and tweeters for the doors, JBL 10" sub with custom enclosure. Sounds 100x better.
