  1. Only in here will you hear congratulations on blowing up an expensive motor while posting similar and slower times than the competition.... SPE isn't the only one blowing up GTR's....and won't be the last. Regardless, hope you quickly get another short block together - I know they're tough to find right now.
  2. Alex, Again....I never said SPE wasn't a high volume HKS dealer. In fact wasn't that kind of my initial point? But keep it real....YOU didn't install anything. It has just always been my preference to work with small shops where the R&D, fabrication, building, and tuning is done by the actual owner. UGR is the first shop I've worked with that differs from that approach. I now realize you did not purposely lie. Sounds like an honest mistake.....now that you spoke with Justin on IM. We have each had conversations with our mutual friends in the industry yesterday, and out of respect, there is no reason to continue airing your dirty laundry. Good luck with your business.
  3. Just because I've never been impressed with your shop doesn't mean I or anyone should take this personally. By the way....I find this article ironic for all the SPE nutswingers: http://www.importtuner.com/tech/impp_1011_..._gtr/index.html
  4. I realize you and Alex are obsessed with my Supra, but please tell me why I would care if I have a universal import blow-off valve on my Supra? My point is anyone could match a bigger wheel on the Greddy turbo and slap a 'custom' kit name on it.... Again, Justin tuned the first FCON GTR in Saudi. Not sure how I can be more clear. Call him and ask. He could care less, who beat who to market. I don't care if you tune everything in house. And nor should anyone else. The fact is Justin, John, Shane....any of these guys run circles around your in-house 'tuner'.
  5. You missed my point entirely. The fact is you lied about being the first FCON install (frankly I don't care....I just find it funny). Of course I expect you to deny the issues around your tuner's reputation on a public forum......but you actually think I could make this stuff up? If I were to make something up.....it'd be a lot more interesting than this....
  6. Fair points. However, you were not part of the ongoing discussions. You are absolutely incorrect to state/assume tiny tiny tym did not mention his apprehension to Fadi around the stock block's ability to handle 800whp. I know for a fact that he did multiple times. Fadi really wanted the e900, talked with me and others prior to his decision (and by the way I told him to do it last fall), yet tiny tiny tym tried to talk him out of it. Fadi will acknowledge that. I'll let tiny tiny tym and/or Fadi volunteer any more of the conversation details if they wish. Your point is a good one though regarding how much testing really should be done before advertising a package on the web, etc. The market is so competitive and so full of misinformation that doing 12 months of testing before allowing a second customer build is unrealistic. R&D tends to happen in a parallel fashion. That being said, tiny tiny tym did not really expect to find anything wrong (nor did I) since the car ran so well last year. Yes, I should have allowed tiny tiny tym to take the car earlier than he did, but I unexpectedly sold it which significantly delayed tiny tiny tym's ability to tear the motor down. It's easy to take shots from the sidelines after the fact and say tiny tiny tym should have done this or that. The fact is, someone had to test the limit (like others have in the Supra/996/997 market, etc.) and nobody else in the GTR community was pushing a stock car (by design) as hard as we did.
  7. Yea....major work test fitting parts on a couple different cars. I forget the name of your tuner Alex....the kid who was about to get fired by Blitz before you threw him a parachute....but didn't Reed also give him some pointers for you? Or was that Shane? Regardless, I heard he has gotten quite a bit of badly needed help over the years.
  8. STFU? I didn't mention you directly out of respect....but I obviously knew exactly what you were referring to in your prior post. Yes, I saw your 997 sitting there for a long time. And yes, I know the details as I spoke to Tim about buying it (before I bought my GTR) to complete it. I'll leave it at that.
  9. Wow....you finally figured it out. All your guessing paid off. Well done Allan!
  10. The TN project you are referring to was a unique circumstance and you know it. Tim's customers can be impatient....and I guess partly the reason why they are attracted to modding cars....
  11. Watching you try to swiss cheesen a story that you have no clue about is quite entertaining. Fadi knew the e900 testing was incomplete until Tim tore my motor down. Fadi wanted tiny tiny tym to start on his kit anyway with the caveat his car wouldn't leave until mine was back at the shop for inspection. What's so hard to understand?
  12. Alex, let's be real. You test what HKS/greddy asks you to test. You are a valuable dealer for them and hence they rely on your feedback. But you make nothing. Again, nothing wrong with that. Yes, again, Justin was the first to install a FCON on a GTR without a harness. Just like he was the first to do a FCON piggyback on a 360 earlier this year. Again, not a big deal, but don't represent something that is not true. That's unfair to Justin, who has helped you and your tuner along the way. Unpacking boxes does not count as 'getting your hands' dirty....
  13. I was right when I had you pegged for the show car crowd....
  14. You know that was not the case Allen. The customer thought it would be better to have someone local do the tuning instead of sending maps back to Tim. He learned an expensive lesson.
  15. Why would anyone want to incur the cost of molds and custom fabricated multi-bend IC piping for GTR's when hose kits are nearly pre-fabbed, lighter and hold boost fine. There are countless import drag cars running Samco hose kits running 2x the boost....
  16. Yes, I do and you don't do much - it's easy to grind and polish. And all the downpipes are nearly the same Alex....
  17. Joe, You know full well that Tim came down there to test-n-tune his bolt-on ProEFI 997 for the first time as it was winter in Ohio and he couldn't load the car in 5th on the dyno. He got the data he needed and subsequently proved you can run 900whp on a bolt-on kit without any issues at all. Tim still has the bolt-on record 997. As for the 60-130...it took EVOMS awhile to catch-up - they couldn't get the boost response up to Tim's tuning/hw combo until recently with their new stuff. Many of Tim's customers have moved onto GTR - which is a good thing for EVOMS! Oh and that's BS on the deposits. Unlike EVOMS, which has stolen money from early adopting customers and used it for years developing their own R&D, Tim wouldn't sell anyone a kit until he was satisfied that he had the package complete. Is Kevin still planning on bringing his car down to Ohio later this month?
  18. I'm not obsessed about anyone - just setting the record straight for you and a couple others who have no idea what they're talking about. I was waiting for you to reference that post. Try reading it before claiming Tim had anything to do with that car. The installing shop wanted to use their own tuning solution, the customer ignored a number of things they asked him to do, and the result was predictable. So what did you show again....other than ignorance?
  19. 1) No, you sold a handful of HKS kits with slightly bigger turbos (that any Honda shop could swap out) and call them your own. I'm not laughing at your business model. You sell pre-made kits at retail with none of the R&D costs other shops incur and make good money doing it. It works. But let's be honest, you are not in the same technical league as Tim. 2) Regarding your claim to the first FCON on a GTR, you are wrong. Justin installed one in Saudi before you guys did and another on a BL car around the same time. This was prior to the plug-n-play harness you guys use. And the FCON works great....when you have a tuner who knows what they're doing. 3) I have nothing against you. I just prefer working with guys who get their hands dirty actually fabricating and tuning themselves. But again, those guys don't make as much money as you. And yes, I was looking forward to running a UGR TT with my GTR. Now I'm equally looking forward to running my old GTR. It should be a very good race. I realize you own the board and have your biggest cheerleader moderator it for you. That's your right. But the childish games Allen plays just confirms why everyone thinks he's a douche bag.
  20. There are at least three videos that I'm aware of posted by different drivers at different tracks using different kits. I don't believe any other shop can claim that. The 10's you are probably referring to are from his entry level P800 road race kit. A P800 will not blow anything up. There are countless running around the world without a single issue. I find it funny you and Allen are obsessed about GTR's (and spreading rumors) on a Lambo forum. Please tell me about how a P800 will blow up a factory block. Looking forward to the post you'll refer to....
  21. You have to be kidding! You've never even seen the kit. Do you even know how to tell the difference between a good weld or quality materials? Tim does not chrome/polish over crap.....
  22. I don't believe so. I ran a 9.62 on a stock motor, quicker than the SPE900. It was also a 'conservative' tune as I used that car for a daily for a period of time. We changed nothing...except wheels. I ran a 9.7 on 20's too. A built motor R900 ran a 9 first test session (same turbos) driven by a third party. The first Mouse wheel ran 9's first time to the track too. All done by different drivers. It has not proven difficult to run a 9 in these cars. ASS has done it too - with rented drivers . It just comes down to who you are comfortable using. The three biggest GTR shops all have their fan base and nothing typed on this forum will change that. The issue I have is spreading rumors via PM, BS posts, etc about blown motors, employees leaving, etc. That's childish and frankly just shows insecurity. And not everyone limits torque. Read the GTR forums....lots of blown stock motors from other tuners slamming torque down low and doing other stupid tuning tricks.
  23. SPE had what 2 cars run 9's last year? Every swiss cheese e900/r900/Mouse wheel that has gone to the track has run a 9 first time out. I ran a 9.62 on my 3rd pass within 1 hour of being at the track. SPE just installs HKS/Greddy kits. swiss cheese developed his lightweight hardware (and the only working piggie/standalone other than Justin's one-off FCON application) from scratch. SPE is a capable shop, but their fab and tuning skills are nowhere near Tim. And Tim limits torque on the stock motors for good reason.....
  24. Why are you so obsessed with the number? I don't know exactly how many over 200 Porsches/GTR kits over the years.....but its somewhere north of that number. I know he's shipped/installed over a 100 various GTR kits worldwide and his Porsche work has to be similar as he's been in that market longer. But again other than calling you out.....who cares?
  25. You're seriously now arguing about the number of customers you think he has?
