  1. Thanks Dustin! Was a fun race for sure. Mustang simply didn't have enough and that GTR is setup so well, zero spin and just goes. I was happy to keep him behind me spinning 2nd and 3rd, 4th it was laying it down! For the record, the boss went 8.1 I believe is his fastest so far, fast car!
  2. 3 pedal > 2 pedal! Smedium's. EDIT: On a power note, it's amazing how back to back runs affect efficiency. The A2W setups are solid, but against the yellow Viper for example, that was my 3rd run in less than 5-10 minutes and the car trapped 5mph less than it did the laps before, after a 10 minute cool down it was trapping mid 190's again. It's not like on the street where you race, slow down and get fresh air at 70mph for the next few minutes, it's run, return, off, start, pits, sit, line up, race. First event in the car and was still learning how to drive it, but for the other cars, it really just depended which car was the coolest and who got the hit, and who knows how to hit paddles or not (Mullet..)
  3. Now that you say that, not at WOT actually. 4th goes to 197 IIRC so I haven't needed to yet. Bumped the limiter on a couple of runs at TI but that's it.
  4. Haha, I'm glad I have 275mph gears, that'd be way too tempting otherwise!
  5. I'm running the 235/35/19 and 335/30/18 combo, the 335's have a light bulge, although I doubt that takes much away from the height. No issues thus far.
  6. I wouldn't GAF really, I'd find out pretty quick if it didn't work lol. In all honesty .5" shouldn't do much, but it's essentially a fixed ratio AWD, the rear tires will have a longer roll out than the fronts at a given speed, enough to hurt anything? Not sure. 325's look good though!
  7. 305/30/19 is a 26.2", at least according to the math (((305x.3)x2)/25.4)+19. A 325/30/19 is a 26.67", (((325x.3)x2)/25.4)+19, obviously I'd assume the same manufactures spec's would yield a consistent result, .5" is a decent amount on a viscus coupler AWD, at least IMO. Tire pressure could take care of some of it and I'm sure the tire wall stiffness on an R888 is enough to reduce crazy expansion, but based on some of the rear facing UGR videos, those tires still grow a decent amount at speed. Just my .02. Probably wouldn't notice it, but .5" is .5".
  8. Billet block, IIRC has been completed in R&D for about a year. They've always tried to break stuff before replacing it so it should be a pretty quick exchange.
  9. That would be ideal. I ran mine to te fuse box behind the seats.
  10. Hardwire that radar! I did mine last weekend, not hard lol.
  11. Yea, plugs are pretty damn easy, but I'm not exactly a stranger to turning a wrench, first timer may hate life? You just have to move the coolant reservoir out of the way, which is a bitch when it's hot lol.
  12. So it's been right at 3 months now since I've had this car back from UGR so probably time for a review. Firstly, the car is absolutely everything I was hoping/expecting it to be. It's fast as hell, quality and craftsmanship of the build amazing, support from Kevin, KC and all of the UGR crew have been nothing sort of outstanding. Driving Impressions: Aside from the clutch being heavier than stock, it literally drives like stock, starts up just as normal, idles normal, A/C works flawlessly, putts around like it's stock with a bit of turbo whistle. Power: 6 speed makes power delivery a little more exciting IMO, however the power delivery is exceptionally smooth, car pulls and pulls each gear harder and harder. I'm only revving it to the factory 8500rpm rev limiter and it has plenty to spare. It's as easy to drive at WOT as a stock Gallardo, just revs a fair bit faster lol. It makes all the right sounds, V10, click click from the gated shifter, and BOV's on the shifts, amazing. Quality of Work: It's an art form, I wish I could just take the bumper off and leave it off, but not quite practical. The car looks amazing under the hood, I LOVE the intake, just freakin' perfect. Customer Support: It's all about relationships in the end, you can have an awesome car and be a douche and nobody wants to be around you, same goes for a shop. You can have a great product and be jerks and the same goes. Everyone from Kevin, KC, John Reed to every single tech they have been so helpful it's ridiculous. The support at events is incredible, all the other owners are great people. There were 2 things that blew me away; 1. I totally botched a shift the first time I got the car, messed up a lot of stuff (1st -> 2nd -> 1st at WOT) and not only did UGR have the car fixed (pretty much a full build again), but back to me in 3 weeks, INSANE. My car has literally been built twice, in the same time frame many are just getting taken apart. 2. The support even from home is amazing, you know how it goes, you get used to something and it feels broken, John Reed remoted into my computer and reviewed logs, adjusted settings in the tune, etc. all without a hint of complaint. I blew a coupler up a couple of weeks ago because the car is always on kill and stuff happens, Kevin sent me 4 couplers, all new clamps etc. overnight Saturday delivery, car was literally fixed in a day. Bottom line, the car is all and more you'd expect it to be, I literally can't think of a better car. I'd like to express my appreciation for the whole UGR crew for answering my questions, entertaining my requests, checking and double checking with me every step of the way during the build on what I wanted (from powder coat, to caliper color, to cage etc.), questioning my thinking, all of it. Class act, customer for life.
  13. Thanks guys! Here are some detail shots:
  14. And the rest: (My favorite:) He went 171 the other weekend. Far from enough IMO, my GTR on 35psi went 170mph, kill was 45psi. I raced the 1600whp orange TTG on 35psi at TX2K, and was full kill at TI racing it again and got pulled pretty good on the big end. I'd say it needs a 180-185mph car minimum.
  15. Nope, didn't even race. There was a Mustang that's been 8.1 @ 168mph that wanted to run, but one of his tires got slashed at the track and he couldn't get a replacement in time. 19's.
  16. Thanks guys. Rears are a 335 opposed to a 305 that the 19" guys run, so they are a little wider.
  17. Honestly, have hardly thought about the Aventador since. Absolutely love the G, it's just a lot more me, a lot more involved. I'll get another Aventador eventually, but there just isn't a point for me right now, and this car wouldn't go anywhere. It does everything I want it to and more.
  18. A buddy of mine came and shot the car for me, here is the first shot. As he edits them I'll add more, LOVE how it turned out.
  19. Again man, love it. Absolutely flawless. Polished lip rebels here! Your collection has been epic and just keeps getting better.
  20. Not a huge difference in displacement, 04-07 G's are 5 liters, 09+ 5.2, my old GTR was a 4.4. It's a more receptive platform to the type of racing I like, the fact that it's a Lambo is a plus.
