  1. I see. Anyway I'm still on the lookout for a cover, preferably in black and with enough room to cover the wing... Is it still possible to get the original one ? I didn't find it on please check with our franchised lamborghini dealer sponsors.
  2. Are you the seller or is this just a "service link" ?
  3. Perfect car... perfect background.... perfect pics.....
  4. What parts of the fuel system are different ? Pump, fuel lines ? Are these differences indicated in the parts manual ? Maybe the 4-cat exhaust can also be traced back in the manual. The lights / turn signals / reflectors are indeed a common difference between all EU and USA cars. UK RHD edition is different again. I've also seen that a lot of 6.0's in the UK are LHD anyway. Not that many RHD's have been produced.
  5. I'm wondering if there's any difference between the EU and US version of the 6.0. Only info I found so far is that the US edition would have steel enforced bumpers and is slightly downtuned to 530hp. The last "fact" I find hard to believe since it wouldn't serve any purpose IMO. Any other parts /specs that are different ?
  6. Seems to me you made the right decision to back away from this car. I know from experience this is not an easy thing to do when you had high expectations and already made the decision to go for it... Of course there are not many similar cars out there but as you said there might be other ways to acquire this car, hopefully at a lower price since this still seems to be a "no history" car. Unfortunately usually "no history" doesn't mean "no story". Similar to you I always want to have some sort of comfort level before even making an offer so I really envy the guys that just follow their guts and jump into a car without even blinking an eye. Anyway if you don't like it after a while you'll always have the option to sell it on. Seems people are holding on to their Diablo's so the number of cars on offer is getting smaller while the demand is increasing..
  7. I think I saw a post by Brad somewhere that the deal is off since the seller in the end didn't allow a third party PPI. But maybe Brad can chime in and clarify the story....
  8. I agree with you they didn't do a bad job on this one. However IMO you can never create your own GTR anyway so it's a waste of time and money to even try to get close ... If you look at the pic of the back of the car you can see the exhaust is not GTR, also GTR logo isn't there, rear grill is not GTR. Interior is clearly 6.0, the GTR interior looks totally different. These are also not GTR rims, could be GT rims but the pics are not very clear. etc... etc... BTW I know Affolter in Switzerland in the past did have GT rims available they offered as an option on the 6.0. So for me at best this car is a partial transition from 6.0 to GT but nothing more than that... edit: car is also at www.anamera.com and is described as an original "GTR prepared" Diablo 6.0 being the fastest 2WD ever....
  9. Don't worry, that's what we are all here for. Together we stand strong against the evil car dealers About the (non ?)intentional wrong info by dealers.... to me it seems that this will only damage the trust people have in their company. f.e. whenever I hear "Mistral Dreams" in the future I'll be extremely careful about the info they're providing.... I've recently been looking at the Orange Diablo 6.0 that's for sale in Nurnberg, Germany. The add on the internet promised a well kept car with full service records, pics looked very nice as well. I took a painstaking trip up there and found a totally trashed car with no service performed since 2003. Car had been kept outside in the parking lot for the last couple of years and IMO should be regarded as "destroyed". The pearl orange completely lost it's former glory and showed completely "flat". Left check engine light indicating cat problems has been on for several years in a row now and they just continued driving without checking anything.... Rear bumper already started to melt of the exhaust heat. Car was used for rental...Leather near the windshield was almost complete gone... big holes in it with the underlying white foam sticking out...etc... etc... (BTW I've seen this same "retracting leather" effect but less extreme with another 6.0, both near the windshield and also at the triangular leather patches behind the seats. Is this a common issue when you leave the car out in the "open" for a prolonged period of time ?) In short: when a dealer is trying to trick you into buying something that's not what they pretend it is and/or provide false info they not only loose one customer but can loose the trust of a whole community... nowadays a simple search on a forum can reveal a lot of "dirt" within seconds...
  10. Please have a look at the www.mistraldreams.com website. Lookup the orange diablo and have a look at the 6 pics. The one with the engine is included as well. Here's a pic of the correct GT engine http://www.lambocars.com/archive/highres/diablogte2.htm Don't know why some car dealers put wrong info on the net about the cars they're selling. Could be they simply don't have the knowledge... IMHO it's just stupid to try and sell a car with false information, people that would shell out this amount on a car are supposed to know what they're dealing with anyway... Of course with this knowledge the US$285.000 they are asking (200.000 euros) is crazy. Seen the fact this is a "refurbished" non-original 6.0 the price would have to be around US$ 150K at most.
  11. This is NOT a GT or GTR.... It's a rebuild of a "regular" 6.0 with GT parts. Please find a pic of the engine of this car below.
  12. Thanks ak3, just checked the mds website and indeed it seems they used many different cars for demonstration purposes. No mention of this Diablo but they used a roadster and SV before. (edit: just checked the swedish version of the website and found the car there including some trackday pics) I know for a fact this car was imported from Switzerland early 2006. So I guess they used it for just over a year since it's now back up for sale. In total it drove 5000 km in Sweden. So at least we know the car has a state of the art soundsystem.... Don't know if this high powered sound output as described by tev can actually damage a car....
  13. I completely agree with you. Stunning color. On the other hand I've also seen very positive comments on the Atlas colour. It seems simpler yet more agressive. I tried to find some pics on my hdd that show the difference. First shows Atlas, second Ishtar. BTW second car looked strange to me from the first time I saw it, it's actually a VT 5.7 but has a SE30 nose, SV rims and GT-like wing...
  14. Please find a pic of the Diablo 6.0 in Sweden below Colour is Arancio Ishtar. This is the non-metallic Orange, I guess this colour can also be ordered on the Murci. I think the Diablo looks more agressive in this colour. I'm not sure about the blacked out rims yet. Seems to match with the colour of the car nicely but my preference tends towards original rims. What do you guys think of the flat orange (Ishtar) compared to the metallic orange (Atlas) ? I've seen the arancio isthar on both a Diablo+Murci and the borealis on the G. The Atlas orange I still have to see for real, is it actually darker than the metallic version ? Sometimes hard to judge from a picture.....
  15. I think you're confusing this car with another one. Below please find a pic of the MDS tradeshow Lambo. Most certainly not a Diablo.... About the "heavy use" you're absolutely right.
  16. That's new for me, I always learned that the Diablo ECU only keeps track of engine hours and not milage. If the 6.0's do the milage as well that's really good news...... or in some cases bad news of course.....
  17. Seems I was too quick to draw conclusions. I used a website with wrong currency info for the conversion from SEK into euros and dollars....
  18. First dealership was Affolter, car has an Affolter Wing. First owner sold it to Monaco, dealer there resold to Germany. I don't have the name of the dealer in Monaco but the car didn't do any real miles there it was sold on without any maintenance done. BTW when I first read about the blue interior I thought: YUK..... But in the pictures I received it looked more like black than blue so I still went over and had a look. In the end it turned out to be a pretty good colour combo the blue matches very nicely with the yellow.
  19. I just found an orange 6.0 at Lambo of Stockholm, maybe this is the one you mention ? Please correct me if I'm wrong but with current exchange rate I guess the price would be US$ 310.000.
  20. Car has been in Switzerland and Monaco before and is now located in Germany. At least since 2 years I guess it has been driven mostly long distance on the German Autobahn, but as I said this is just a guess. Problem with this car is that the history went missing during transfer from Monaco to Germany. Car is being sold in consignment and I asked the seller to retrace the history through the dealerships where the car had the maintenance done. A PPI would also show how many engine hours are in the ECU but I think it's common when you buy a car to check the pedals for wear. Problem for me is that I don't have any reference on how these pedals would look like after 10k / 20k / 30k etc....
  21. I've been looking into buying an Orange 6.0 for over a year now and am currently out of options for cars here in Europe. A year ago I was just late by one day to buy a perfect Orange 6.0 in Italy..... Of course there's still a "brand new" Orange 6.0 for sale over here in Europe but it's way overpriced. So recently I decided to go for the next choice which is yellow. There seem to be slightly more cars available in that colour. I'm currently looking at a car with dark-blue+yellow interior. I made a pic of the pedal area when visiting the dealer earlier this week. What do you guys think about mileage for this car if you look at the pedals ? Especially the accelerator pedal seems pretty worn to me......
  22. Why put a MOMO gear knob in a 6.0 ? Also the original rims look sooooo much better IMO....
  23. Anyone with experience in exporting a 6.0 from the States to Europe ? I might have a better chance on finding an Orange 6.0 when looking overseas.... not much options left here i Europe.
  24. Just came across this post and I can tell you here in Europe it's the same story.... Since 2 years I've looking into buying a 6.0. Very hard to find a clean one at the right price. I prefer an Orange 6.0, but the (high priced) one I looked at recently can be considered "destroyed". It spent the last 6 years on the parking lot of a car dealer in Germany as some kind of advertising object. Metallic paint was completely flattened by sunshine / snow / rain / dirt.... leather on top of the dash was full of holes and in some locations allmost complety gone, it probably deteriorated because of overheating in the sun for many years. Service records showed no maintenance done for 4 years ! Warranty report from Lamborghini showed that they have been driving hard en long distance with the car with both check-engine lights, as a result very high exhaust temperatures melted the rear bumper....etc....etc... Really guys it was shocking.... Tomorrow I'm going to have a look at a yellow 6.0 with 2-colour interior. It has an Affolter wing and that's not good IMO but anyway there are simply not that many options. In the pics I received the car looks clean, but my recent search has shown me that you should NEVER trust digital pics.... I've seen the reference to "high milage" several times. What do you guys think is high milage on a 6.0 ?
