  1. here are some night time pics. i love this car!!!
  2. thanks guys. i change my mind everyday but with the canadian dollar at .78cents to the american dollar i can make some nice money on the deal. we've dropped nearly 20% this year- most of it being in the last few months. i wouldnt sell it to a canadian buyer with canadian $$. mako is right- i have a very small window to make a profit on a $500,000 car. doesnt happen very often and i dont think the dollar is going to stay down for too long.
  3. well guys i'm going to sell the best car i ever owned if you're interested let me know. the car has about 2000 miles on it.
  4. car looks amazing, house looks amazing. congrats. the more you drive it the better it gets.
  5. thats nuts! i love it. and the car keeps pulling and pulling until you lifted.
  6. great write up allan. i dont know of any slr owner who has NOT liked this car.
  7. nononnoononoooo. no way. at 120mph the car feels like its not even working. at 150 the car is still rock solid.
  8. i knew i should have bought an M3! im in montreal on friday. please call me when the next one comes up.
  9. any future dates coming up?? my 722 is gonna blow up if i dont get her to a track soon. we need to get these babies together for pics and videos.
  10. you just answered ur own questions. put all doubt to rest. u love the looks of the slr? check! you loved the sl55? check (now times by 100) and the only thing you are wondering? will it hold ur attention? step on the gas- check! you will NEVER EVER think of the slr as an sl55 with a pulley kit. the only time u might confuse it with an sl55 is when ur in bumper to bumpber traffic and you have a cd playing, chilling with some ice cold ac or warming up with some heat. this car does everything so well. but when u step on it, or take a fast corner or brake hard- there will be NO doubt this car is special. i drove an slr and a sl65 back to back for about hour and the sl65 felt like an out of control missle. fast yes- but defintiely too much engine for the chassis. i kid u not- the slr is perfect in almost every way. u might get bored of it but most of us get bored of our cars sooner or later anyway. truth is, the regular slr is a far better all round performer as the 722 is very stiff and a bit more flashy.
  11. well don- opinions opinions for sure and alwasy interesting for debate but its hard to put opinion against experience. Allan has a crazy lambo and now the slr. for sure the lambo turns more heads but to trust me the slr gets noticed big time. i have had 3 ferrari's, 3 porches, 5 MB's blah blah blah............ the general public, at least here in toronto, where 150k plus cars are everywhere treat the slr different. when i pulled up to a stop light in the ferrari people would often NOT acknowledge it even though they clearly saw it. of course many people loved it but many others looked at it as too over the top. when i drive down the road in the slr the cameras and camera phones are every where. people look at the car and may not know what it is - but they know its something special. its not over the top flash but i have never heard it described as boy racer. i hated the looks of the car when i first saw it. i thought it was the ugliest thing. but the styling really grows on you. it remains different enough to be unique yet subtle enough to leave in the shopping mall parking lot. the styling is not loved by all but thats why there are many different styles of cars. u find the one u like and buy it. and as far as the its only a V8 comment. ur kidding right? the engine is obscene..........there is no engine that i know of today that has the hp and torque that this has. and please dont quote magazine articles to prove me wrong. the porsche GT is very fast and sounds amazing. but pin the slr and u'll feel the blood leave ur head from the g forces. at least my head anyway why would u care if its a 4,8,10 or 12???? for those thinking of buying one i would say its too expensive to be a daily driver but its definitely not a garage queen. this car will drive perfectly in every circumstance.
  12. i think these are pretty close. they are OZ
  13. thats fast! the brakes on the gt2 are impressive
