  1. That thing is awesome! How close are they to releasing it?

    TT SLR

Thanks for the info. It was something I was simply curious about. Like I said, the Ford GT has made monstrous gains with a TT setup, I just didn't know if the SLR would have the same type of gains or if there are reasons why it wouldn't work as well as the pulley swap and ECU reflash like AJGLOBAL mentioned. It is hard to believe there is a lack of room under the hood considering 75% of the length of the car appears to be in front of the driver.

    TT SLR

Forget the "with enough money anything is possible" idea. Is it possible to remove the supercharger and bolt on a couple of turbos? I know the Ford GT is not even close to an SLR, but pulling the supercharger in favor of a TT setup has produced amazing results for the GT. Is there anything about the SLR that would prevent a TT setup from working? Would it be too much of a problem to reprogram the engine management, or is there some other characteristic about the engine that wouldn't make a TT conversion worth the expense? Removing the supercharger, I can see losing some of the SLR's neck snapping instant torque, but with the right turbos, I would think you could keep much of the same instant power feel, but with much more power overall.
  4. The same crowd that likes to put platinum and diamonds on their teeth, think the strut grills look good. Both are tacky at best.
  5. At least it didn't break in half.
  6. It looks like there are a lot of people wondering the same thing you are. http://buzz.yahoo.com/buzzlog/67484/a-car-worth-wrecking
  7. I always remove the lug nuts when I am about to race anyone. The reduction in unsprung weight greatly improves acceleration. If you are concerned with safety, just leave one lug on each wheel. Sun visors are also a great way to reduce weight, you can't imagine how heavy those things are.
