  1. This might be the first Urraco I ever saw... When I was in college back in Md I saw a black urraco sitting beside a shop I don't know if it was a P250 or P300 anymore, need to dig through my old college papers and pictures as I didn't know what it was at the time and I remember writing down a few details. It looked kinda abused back then and had a few dents and dings. The shope said the owner "fancied himself a race driver" and had several different sports cars in similar condition I tried to buy it back then but he wasn't interested in selling.. . I would swear the black one I saw was RHD though.. still, maybe I'll get it - we have so many spares it might be worth having. I can redo it or maybe get a little crazy with it.. I'd rather turn something like this into a "Urraco Bob" clone than the green one.. I'll send the guy an e-mail.. guess I have a day or so to decide..
  2. Michael - I'm kinda looking for a Jalpa engine for the green one.. it has a bad waterpump and a few other minor issues and I was thinking it would be really nice to have a euro spec P250 with more power.. wish a Gallardo engine would fit without any cutting lol Right now it's not for sale though..
  3. Hey guys, We do have a complete used transaxle. It would need to be checked out as well - We unbolted a few covers inspecting it for wear or any obvious problems and didn't notice any immediate issues, but I'd feel best having someone who does gearboxes go over it before we would sell it as a replacement to anyone. We honestly only bought it as a spare in case we ever had a need for it. I log in here every day at work - but I don't always have time to even read a lot. (I get a few hundred e-mails a day work related and so car/personal stuff has to come as I get quiet time) Sorry I don't keep up as well as I wish I could here, but work pays for the toys I hadn't heard that the internals were BMW, but I wouldn't be surprised. I should go take some detail pictures of this on since most never see these out of the car. It would be nice to look at them side by side to look to inspect for differences. here's a pic of the one in our P250 Daniel - my real e-mail addy is [email protected]
  4. I dunno - better than being parted out in my opinion. .. personally if my heart and lungs were damaged and the doc gave me a choice of being an organ doner or getting to keep running around but with someone else's heart and lungs I wouldn't care where they got the used parts, I'd rather be alive. just my opinion.. but then I have a Frankenstein car at home, so maybe I'm biased
  5. too many to list, but I'll play.. I have bought 3 88-94 BMW 750's as daily drivers/beaters. Great Chicago highway cars, V12, comfortable and sporty for a big car. The most I paid for any of them has been $2200. That said the BMW 850 has a more exotic look, can be had with a 6 speed, and a well maintained driver can be had for $8000-$15000. Also a fan of the aforementioned 3000GT VR4. They are getting harder to find but $10,000 can get a decent AWD, Twin Turbo with every option and it looks like a sports GT. Same goes for it's little brother the 96-99 Eclipse GSX. $5000 gets you an AWD turbo that's pretty nimble Forget all the grief given by the anti replica people, an 88 Fiero Formula with a V8 is great handling, VERY quick, and as a bonus the driving position is so similar to the Lambo (just remember when parking the Lambo that it's lots bigger on the outside lol). Almost forgot!!, a Maserati bi turbo has really dated looks, is often mistaken for a Chevy cavalier, but it's Italian, has a great name, sounds great and can be had for under $2000 Chelle
  6. Wow..... poor thing.. . I've tried in the past to communicate with a few people about V8 Lambo parts car/projects in Japan. maybe it's just me but it seems like they really don't want to sell to American car people. Maybe they get taxed if they export or something.. I'd love to save the poor thing - and we probably have enough spares to deal with much of it. poor thing... and we have an engine that would go nicely in there- though I wanted to put it in a P250 Euro car made into a twin of "Urraco Bob" (which is in Japan too) Chelle
  7. Wow... that interior is beautiful!, I want to do that to ours!!! anyone know anyplace where I can get the carpt, seats, and door panels done that nicely? You car is one of the few I ever have seen without power windows. I was under the impression that all the "P250 S" Urraco's had power windows.. Chelle
  8. Anyone know if the car is still available? While I'd rather have the W8 or the AWX3, my best friend has wanted an M12 for a long time. I looked at the yellow one a few months ago that was missing the trans, and the American flag one. The yellow and american flag ones were auctioned for the US Marshals just under a year ago, here's results: 4/1/2006 1996 VECTOR M12 12 CYL STD RED/WHITE/BLUE 1ST EDITION PROTOTYPE 105,000.00 4/1/2006 1999 VECTOR M12 12 CYL STD YELLOW 126,000.00 Wish I had bought her the black one that was on ebay maybe two years ago. Anyway - if it's available I'm interested It's an interesting car anyway, different. Chelle Here's a couple shots from the auction and the roadster on the street
  9. Banner week, a parts car Urraco and a nice looking P117.. wish they were here in USA.. This one has just 2000cc engine http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=130089182130 Chelle
  10. It was for sale on another site a while back. Poor thing is very rusty and incomplete, but there are some good parts there. Perhaps something someone here needs. $2600/no reserve. Blue carpet like Goober's car and yet another variation on seat covers and rear armrests. http://cgi.ebay.com/Lamborghini-Urraco-P30...emZ320090574015 If it was here in the US I'd likely buy it for an idea I have, but I can't imagine anyone restoring it Chelle
  11. I have never seen another bonnet like Goober's car has. That's not to say it's not original, as we all know there is a lot of variety with these cars.. I did notice there seem to be a few different style seats. Not sure what the factor was that determined what kind of seats a car got. Thanks for that link, looks like there's yet ANOTHER blue one out there Since my earlier pics vanished, here's another Chelle
  12. Goober's car is unusual anyway - did you notice the front bonnet? It looks sort of like a P300/P111 bonnet, but it's not. Our car is a 1974, #15732 and has the deep wheel Chelle
  13. Yes, it's the same even the bearing for the alternator/water pump tensioner is the same Hope this helps! On a side note.. wondering why the pics I posted vanished.. anyone know? The bearing pic is still there but none of our cars Chelle
  14. Daniel, here's the original Lambo part.. it's SKF, just go to your local bearing supplier and ask them to cross reference the number or take one of your old ones to any local bearing supplier. They can measure it and give you a modern replacement. I honestly don't remember what tires we put on #15732.. will try and get out there and take a look. Personally I didn't like the way the XWX's handled.. we went with original size, but a different manufacturer. Chelle
