POS Video 550rwhp Cam Only

This is a car I know locally, and just stepped up the game a little. It put down about 510rwhp with a pretty measily cam and long tube headers, now it's 550ish rwhp with a bigger cam. All of this is done with minimal (if any) tuning as LS7 Edit hasn't come out yet. Then it really gets sick when the 150 shot hits. :anal

Cam, longtubes, and 150-shot=700rwhp, and nearly as much torque.

Fawk. Nice numbers. Shitty pull on the dyno, though. Thought it was going to spin and bounce right off the rollers.

hard to believe that it can do 550 RWHP with only a 2 valve head, even with 7 liters, the hp.liter is quite high then!

Not if the 2 valve head flows 350cfm on the intake side STOCK! This one sick ass head.

touche, the valves are apparently quite large! incidetnally i still thnk that not having a 4 valve head is handcuffing them!

Why? You must not know much about any other engines besides OHC engines. Have you ever seen NHRA drag racing? Top fuel use the "ancient" push rod design and they get 7000hp, so does pro stock and they are roughly 3,000hp.

I have no doubts that they are capable of making big power, my question is more, "isnt a multi-valve head that much better"...in other words what would a top fuel car do given a 4V head...

I dont know. But I would like to see someone try it. There is an experimental class for NHRA I would think that would be the perfect to try it with.
