Peter2 Report post Posted October 3, 2008 You think it's strange that a 40 year old car has antique plates?

evile Report post Posted October 7, 2008 If it's a Superformance GT40 it may be classified as historic. The Superformance GT40s are considered continuations, and the serial numbers reflect the lineage. Supposedly, 90% of the components from the Superformance chassis will fit the original. ostoneman Report post Posted October 8, 2008 Thats quite amusing. Im guessing you are young, and not into cars...yet. Otherwise, you should know better! The gt is a modern 'replica' of one of the all time great racing cars....the ford gt40. They will wear original plates! But this might well be a rep itself. By antique plate I meant that its labeled as an antique and here in Nova Scotia, Antique plates are only issued for cars 30 years and older. I dont know how picky they are on determining age. So assuming its the real deal did they sell those cars or where they only for racing?
