D.Wiggs Report post Posted March 11, 2009 yep, your good! Thanks! I wanted to do a 300 on my Rocker but it was just too much cutting and re-welding; however, with the Heartland kit I can run a 260 which ain't too bad.

A 260 should look just right, a 300 can be overkill on some production bikes and you don't realize it until after it's on. You often need a longer bike to run a tire that wide. I really wanted to end up with a 280 but there wasn't enough fender clearance. Destructo Report post Posted March 12, 2009 I never owned a Harley. I have only had real bikes - organ donor bikes . After i put down my CBR i realized i wasn't ready for a sport bike. But I'm slowly warming up to the idea of getting back into it with a CB599 or CB919.

I'm an old man, i can't keep up with you kids on your "crotch rockets" and besides i don't like how my hands go numb from resting on them in the forward position or how my back aches from leaning forward for the whole ride
RedShft Report post Posted March 12, 2009 I can't blame you on that. One time I went 1.5 hours without a break and nearly broke out in tears.
ralfabco Report post Posted March 12, 2009 I'm an old man, i can't keep up with you kids on your "crotch rockets" really ? Dave, A few years ago, one of the fabulous U.K. sport rider rags, did an article on 70 year old organ-donor bike blokes in Britain . F.C., has an organ-donor bike rider who is in his 60's .
