Roman Report post Posted March 11, 2010 That doesnt look too bad.... I dont see too much rust.... What there is just looks like its on the surface.... Maybe a little CLR... Wheres the spare? Assuming thats just dust dirt and grime, get in there with a damp paper towel and get to work..... Its just painted metal.... Treat it accordingly. Clean it! You could wax it if youre really feeling ambitious.... You dont want to get it TOO WET in there though.... What are you going for??? A driver or a concourse car? Jalpa_Mike Report post Posted March 11, 2010 Badword filter got ya? YES!!! I just noticed that! Weird...... Part number is: 71010737 Here is what the new bottle looks like. In fact, if you want, you can use the black cap off your old bottle and makes it look more original.

Peter K Report post Posted March 11, 2010 Wire brush, Simple Green, sand paper, satin or trim black from Duplicolor......I think, it's been years since I did this. Just get as much as you can, some areas are not reachable. One thing I should have done was to blast clean all the screws and stuff I removed. Jack placement was for show. Steve400S Report post Posted March 12, 2010 Yep +1 on the Optima. Evertime one of my cars needs a new battery that's what I put in. Have not needed to replace a Optima yet. The only way to get the front trunk looking good is to clean and re spray it black.
Peter K Report post Posted March 12, 2010 People, don't get too excited, us owners know that it take a few miles of driving and it's dirty again.

ralfabco Report post Posted March 13, 2010 Thanks, It will be sprayed, in the Spring. The owner of the shop, is a different kind of person. He does excellent work. He just finished a 300SL Roadster, from the 1950's. More pics to come.
