Ok, neither a status symbol, nor a fashion statement and nothing esoteric like tourbillon & minute-repeater. It's not a limited edition or production and not even Swiss made.

It's by Casio but look what it can and will do:

Solar powered (no batteries required), a full charge (less than an hour under regular sunlight) is good for 6 months in full operation mode & 20 months in standby mode

World Time function (48cities in 29 time zones) with 3 time zones displayed simultaneously capability

5 separate alarm settings with snooze function & hourly chime

Automatic hands alignment/calibration

Stop watch with lap function, accurate to 1/100 sec. + Timer function

Full calendar with auto leap year function

Reverse/backlid amber LED

Anti-reflective sapphire surface

Tough "G-shock" movement

Waterproof to 10 atmospheric pressure

Black ion-plated titanium case & band

48mm diametre & weighs only 104g

But the most useful & functional feature of all --- this piece synchronizes itself with the 6 atomic clocks throughout the world 3 times a day (1 in N.AM, 2 in Europe, 1 in China & 2 in Japan) That means, with solar power, this thing is always accurate no mater where on Earth you are, literally. Even if it cannot receive a signal from the atomic clocks, it's standalone accuracy is +/- 15sec per month. And it does everything exactly as claimed!

There are plenty are nice watches out there in various price range, but this piece is more than enough for anyone who wants a utilitarian watch that does as good as a job than a timepiece can ever be --- telling accurate time.

MSRP: just a hair under USD1,000.- but sells for USD750.-

That's a nice 'DD' watch. Wouldn't mind that when riding. Don't have to worry about shit hitting it at 100MPH.

I think the casio pathfinder is better for all around. It has all that plus an altimeter barometer compass and thermometer.
