lambolp400s Report post Posted March 8, 2012 What about the Lamborghiniregistry.com..? Brian The registery states 50 S1, 105 S2 and 82 S3, but not how many in the different years (official numbers). It is split over a 5 year span (1978-82). I belive to remember that in 1980 only 21 cars were built... Low production since the factory was closed down. If Tom Robins "factoids" are correct, it was built 10 cars in 1978, and the last 40 S1 in 79 and january of 1980. The S3 seems to have come into production in late 1981 and ended in may 1982 when the first LP500S was on the production line. BUT, I have a magazine that is from 1982 where the reporter says that he thinks it is strange that Lamborghini still offers the 4 liter version after the new bigger engine is in production. Might be that they still offered it as long as they had the old engines/blocks in stock?
