Destructo Report post Posted December 6, 2012 I know there are literally hundreds if not thousands of primers on using HTML, CSS and Java; BUT from those of you who have or currently work with these what are the best free-online ones you've come across? Post and link them here if you could. Thanks in advance!
IbnRushd Report post Posted December 6, 2012 Primers? I'm assuming you mean like a pick up and go type document/website/book? If so, I'd probably go with the w3schools one for the CSS and HTML, I usually always run to them for the basic stuff in the beginning... As for Java, I've always gone to my University class web page when they used to have it up, I haven't really looked at one since then..so I'm not too sure, but I'm sure the w3 schools one isn't bad. At the current point, I usually just google whatever my issue is and find what I can, or check the Java API, but sounds like you want more of a tutorial type thing or a 'crash' course. I hope that helps? Edit: Sorry, w3schools doesn't have Java, it's Javascript, different from what you're looking for: http://www.w3schools.com/

JBrown Report post Posted December 7, 2012 W3Schools is solid. It's where I learned the basis for all my front end stuff (HTML, CSS, Javascript) Take their quizzes once you're done with each subject! After getting through W3Schools, you won't know it all, but you'll know how to ask the questions you need the answers to in Google. At that point if you're intuitive enough, you're home free.
