Redlambo Report post Posted January 18, 2013 It's the pipe that balances the two fuel tanks. I always thought that was the cross over for the radiators. I guess I learned something. Looks a bit scary right next to the half shafts.
grngryoutmyway Report post Posted January 19, 2013 Ahhh gotcha. I was wondering where a sway bar would connect on the ends and why it would be needed in a multi link rear. I thought the tank pipe was a straight shot between the two, did this change on the later models, or are they all like this? countach5.7 Report post Posted January 20, 2013 I always thought that was the cross over for the radiators. I guess I learned something. Looks a bit scary right next to the half shafts. I'm not worried about the half shaft, much more concerned about being clobbered by some twit (probably because he's busy trying to take photos...). Then, Because thats the very rear of the chassis and nothing beyond it is structural it looks like the pipe could easily be crushed or split and dump upto 120 litres of fuel, and with the exhaust that close.....
