How do you properly clean the throttle bodies?

I was told spray a good amount of carb cleaner in the intake and wipe down, not sure how much though.

Does anyone know exactly how the Lambo techs do it?

Spray electrical cleaning on a rag then wiper down.

Careful how much shit you spray in a confined closed space. I've seen a few nasty explosions from people spraying too much carb and brake cleaner.

I say don't touch them or let the dealer do it. The wiring and plugs on the TB's gets fragile over time and you could cause more problems then it's worth

Option 1: Spray throttle body cleaner on a rag and wipe down the throttle bodies. Carefully open the butterflies and wipe both sides.

 

Option 2: Spray throttle body cleaner directly into the throttle bodies, then do Option 1.

I suggest you dont unplug them tho.
