  1. Didn't mean to come off as too critical of the Murci, i love the car. I agree that the Murci is flagship worthy, but I've always felt that it could've been a little bit more aggressive from the start, basically what it evolved into in lp640 and SV form (not to take away from the 6.2, which still looked great and had presence to it). I'd just like to see this car start out a little more extreme and not feel like it needs a little more to it, which I thought the 6.2 needed, especially after the edgier Gallardo arrived. Another thing about the Murci and this new replacement is that it's much harder to be so radical these days. The Countach was so radical looking compared to most cars in the 70s and 80s. With the Diablo it was a little less so as car designs became a little sleeker and more aerodynamic. It's much harder today to design a car that looks so overtly different and radical, especially when considering what all has been done already, and ridiculous pedestrian safety regulations, etc.
  2. I agree that lambo should really have a fresh design that really has that wow factor that the diablo, miura, and countach had. Thos cars really had the "wow" factor that the Murci, especially the original 6.2 version, didn't quite match.
  3. Yes, you're right about that, my bad Still, from what I've heard from those who've sampled the 458's box (or some of the better DSGs), a twin clutch setup would be much more desirable. 40ms is only 20 up on the scuderia's box and the DSG is supposed to be a big improvement on that, more than a mere 20ms difference would suggest.
  4. The 458 shifts much faster than 50ms. In the latest Road & Track they said it's .04 of a second (compared to .50). Still, 50 is pretty good. it would've been nice to see a DSG but this should easily be the best single clutch F1 out there.
  5. Looks great, although as others have said, a little busy up front. It reminds me of the first gen car, which I always preferred to the newer ones.
  6. Was looking foward to this... but it looks too generic, too Japanese. Couldn't they have come up with something more Lotus, more British? It might look better in person, but it seems way too boring for this class, and it's not actually "arriving" until 2014. I'm not sure how well it will age by then, even with a few inevitable tweaks.
  7. It's looking like this might be some sort of "super Gallardo" with the similar wipers and the engine cover's 10 vents.
  8. The article also says they made "only" 90 Reventons this year.
  9. I think the plan is to build 300 coupes, and 150 Grand Sports.
  10. I think it depends on the rim and the car. Lots of lambos and other high end cars have black rims now so I'm more used to it on them, but whenever I a cheap Japanese car with black rims that's been tuned by some teenager, I immediately think of the crappy old steel wheels.
