LAMBO_JESUS Report post Posted April 3, 2018 We have a thread in the Gallardo sub-forum on another board to figure out how many "Gated / 6-Speed" Pre-LP Gallardos are out there. In the thread, someone was wondering how many Pre-LP Murcielago's had been made. I was curious too as I want to get an LP640 next and love the Murcielago in general. So I put the old banking skillz to work and went through the VW/ Audi AG annual reports and got the following information: Lamborghini Murcielago (Pre-LP Production) 2001: 65 Coupe | 0 Roadster 2002: 442 Coupe | 0 Roadster 2003: 424 Coupe | 0 Roadster 2004: 304 Coupe | 80 Roadster 2005: 230 Coupe | 234 Roadster 2006: 323 Coupe | 121 Roadster Total Pre-LP Murcielago Coupes: 1,788 Total Pre-LP Murcielago Roadsters: 435 Total Pre-LP Murcielago Production: 2,223 For those who want to "trust but verify" here is a link to the first two data points (annual report PDF). Just "Ctrl+F (find)" and type "Lamborghini". You will come to the 65 and 442 number. Trust me on the rest of them (or go find them yourself!) https://ddd.uab.cat/pub/infanu/146223/iaVOL...ENa2002ieng.pdf You can just search "Audi AG Annual Report [YEAR]" on Google. Hope this helps anyone interested in the production numbers in the future! Thanks, Alex
Stimpy Report post Posted April 3, 2018 The really interesting info would be how many of the 04-06's are manuals by year. That would take extraordinary banking skillz.
LAMBO_JESUS Report post Posted April 3, 2018 The really interesting info would be how many of the 04-06's are manuals by year. That would take extraordinary banking skillz. And THAT is why I left banking after 2 years! Haha. But yes, I agree that would be good to know since we already have a handle on the LP640 6-speed cars thanks to Ed Bolian. As you mentioned, we know all 2001-2003 (Pre-LP Murci cars) were 6-speed, so that means: 931 6-speeds through that point. Just need to figure out how many of the remaining 1,292 were gated. A quick and dirty 5% assumption of cars ordered as gated would = 65 cars from 2004-2006 + 931 cars from 01-03 = Approximately 996 Total manual Pre-LP Murcielago cars. RobberBaron Report post Posted April 3, 2018 Out of those built, I wonder how many are left and unmolested.
rushdriven Report post Posted April 3, 2018 Not doubting your skillz and will mention that I read your post quickly and did not review VW/Audi AG annual reports... In 2006 Lamborghini produced 2007 model year Murcielago LP640's so the 2006 numbers could include 2007 cars. Both 2007 LP640's I've owned were built in 2006 (September and October). Exactly my point. All Murci's built in 2006 are not Pre-LP's..... The numbers shown in the annual report are for all cars built that year, not model year.
