  1. great - thanks that's good to know as they are much cheaper
  2. just a quick snap I took in Italy - I have since had the dealer respray the wheels back to silver and remove the non-original bull bar
  3. Hello I've not posted on here for some time but recently acquired an LM002 from Italy I am importing it to the UK and thinking about what I need to do to get it through the MOT here I believe I will need to change the headlights which are also shared with the Jalpa as far as I know. I assume there is no way of adjusting them/ rotating them from LHD to RHD? If not does anyone know if the lamp is from another car or do I need to buy from Eurospares/ please check with our franchised lamborghini dealer sponsors etc? many thanks Craig
  4. thanks - maybe I'll give it a miss!
  5. Hi I currently have my QV in a workshop having a major overhaul and one thing I want to get done is to clean the area in front of the sidelight - this is the silver area just in front of the headlights. Does anyone know how to access this area as the garage were not able to? thanks Craig
  6. rears confirmed as 335/30/18 some sites have the wrong specs - eg . Lambocars
  7. Can someone please confirm to me the correct rear tyre size for a Diablo 6.0. I am seeing reference to both 335/30/18 and 335/35/18 thanks Craig
  8. Hi I have a problem that has just arisen whereby the alloy lever that locks the steering column in place no longer stays in the locked position. i.e. I move the steering to the relevant position I want, push the lever forward to lock it but it just springs back. Has anyone come across this before? I assume I need to remove the steering column shroud but not sure how easy this is. It seems to be in a lower and upper section that is split down the middle but I don't want to risk breaking it. It's annoying as I've just collected it from service and its a 1.5hour drive any advice appreciated thanks Craig
  9. sorry guys but the news from Yokohama is not good they need to produce a minimum of 1000 tyres to make them viable! however, I have found out that Michelin make a 335/35 TB15 road legal tyre that I have seen fitted to the Cannonball Run car - has anyone tried these? Craig
  10. sorry guys - no response as yet I was on holiday last week but will chase again this week Craig
  11. Hello I have been in contact with Yokohama UK about the remanufacture of the Yokohama AVS tyres for the Countach. As many of you will hopefully agree these are better suited to the pre-Anniversary cars than the P Zeros (ideally we would use P7s if Pirelli got there act together!). Yokohama have said they may consider remaking a batch if there is good demand. To this end can you please let me know if you are interested in buying a set/sets and how many? They also fit De Tomaso Panteras so I am hoping to get their support too. Thanks for your help Craig
  12. HI I currently have a Diablo 6.0 in black that I want to change to metallic grey. I am unsure of the popular metallic grey colour used but I have seen cars in ads described as Millenium Silver and Grigio Antares that look about right. Does anyone have any good pics of these 2 colours or describe the differences? thanks Craig
  13. I thought I would post it on here but then I saw you had to have a minimum of 100 posts! Oh well, I should get posting more! It's a shame the exchange rate is so bad at the moment as LHD makes this car more saleable worldwide. It's a shame I have to sell it but having sold my LP400 and bought a 6.0, I need another Countach... Hope I can find a good home for it Craig
  14. thanks - interesting info Craig
  15. I just bought a 2001 Diablo 6.0 here in the UK which has a short ratio gearbox option. Does anyone know if this was a rare option on the 6.0? (I know it was popoular on the SV) thanks Craig
  16. thanks Emilio - yes my car is the red one in the UK. I will try and post some pics later. I was thinking in the region of EUR 50k for it. I paid EUR 48k 2 years ago and have spent another EUR 20k on a major overhaul - I didn't expect to get back what I put into it after all. I am in no rush to sell but I am thinking about another Countach after having sold the LP400 - this time a later, cheaper car (likely LP5000S) to go with my Diablo 6.0 that I replaced it with. If you know of any cars please let me know. thanks Craig
  17. Emilio What do you think the market is like for Silhouettes in Europe? I may be selling mine (chassis 40006) if the price is right. It is difficult to know what to ask as they never come on the market. Craig
  18. this car is owned by David Sherman and used to belong to Joe Sackey he exported it to the UK a couple of months before Sackey's LP400 that I brought over Craig
  19. completely agree with Emilio here I was lucky enough to have found an LP400 but I still love the LP400S S1 - the next best Countach IMO (and I even had a QV so this says a lot) keep the car original Craig LP400 1120192
  20. well if some LP400's were converted to LP400S then surely the reverse can be done although the cost would be prohibitive I imagine also the value of the car would go down
  21. I am 6' and my brother 6'4" and we both fit fine in the Countach. You just need to have the steering wheel as far out as possible and the seat tilted back (there is a kind of rocking mechanism). The only Countach to aviod would be the Anniversary as the seats are different and give less headroom. Funnily enough I find the Countach more comfortable than the Diablo. On the Diablo the door intrudes into the cabin more and you end up banging you head against it in corners.
  22. I understand someone in Florida, just bought two project cars. I do not know of any project cars in the USA. Anyone know of a project car in the USA ? Where everything is with the car. No basket case in boxes. I would prefer a running car. All original - of course. there was one at Ulitmate Motors - see here http://www.ultimatemotors.com/restoration.cfm?RT=
