  1. Great feedback all, if i knew all the answers, I would not need this forum and I don't get offended by anyone's posts since they don't know who I am or my situation. I need to make an informed decision. BTW, I'm not a young guy and I had other priorities come first. Ever since I saw my first Countach on the road, like many others, I new I had to have a lamborghini but did not really think I'd ever be in the position to actually get one until several years ago when I had a forced career change which has now afforded me the envious position of being able to buy one of these. As I mentioned earlier, WAF factor means no finance allowed,. I have to have all the money upfront and had to be completely debt free. but I do have a number in mind and I want to stick to it, this a mental number I have, not a hard number. If the car needed 20k after for repairs, so be it, but for me, 20k will do a lot since I do all my own work. Infact I'm contemplating building my own exhaust for the car if it still has the OE or maybe even a DIY TT setup. I have spent a huge amount of my life working on cars and as a kid, when others were playing road hockey or baseball, I was building my own test equipment to tune point iginitions. I ended up with a Automotive Technicians license and an electronics degree, so I think I can tackle almost anything on any car. I earned my money by very hard work and just need maximize what I get for it.
  2. If you feel prices are close to bottom for those years, how do you factor in mileage ? and what are the break points, so anything under 10,000 miles should be some base $ and then for every 5,000 mile increment higher we deduct some percentage ?, this is assuming a well maintained car with records, any car that lacks proven maintenance records and looks worn of course will suffer more deductions. Finally a dumb question, forgive me for not doing a search, but is there a guide somewhere with all this info already ?
  3. Great feedback so far All, keep it coming.
  4. Looking to buy my first used G next year. What do the experts think will happen to prices ?. One dealer I spoke to (used exotics) claimed that prices should go up for various reasons when the new replacement G goes on sale. When I survey the market, there are plenty of G for sale, mind you I'm considering what is available in Canada and US, not just local to me in southern Ontario or GTA. I fully expect prices to continue down, stabilize at some bottom number, then start creeping back up as it does with most exotics. There are exceptions of course, maybe like 288 GTO and such, but I'm talking G here... Any guess on when 2005 / 2006 G will bottom out ?, I'm not waiting that long, but I expect if I buy next year, the value will still continue down.

    New Guy

Man, that is a long way. Was the price difference worth it ? I have noticed the prices around Toronto are getting more in line with US prices, I will probably pick one up local.
