  1. Are the SE30 side skirt fins able to be fitted on standard side skirts ? wondering about them in Carbon too. Interior light is another one to add to the list - not sure how many differing styles they were - certainly roadsters were different to coupes.
  2. Yes, think these are the ones to go for - suitable for high temperature too - smooth inside too :-) The 114mm was taken when I last had the car, its still 1 week away from getting sorted. So hopefully can check next weekend. Its been a long wait!
  3. This was more what I was thinking of... http://www.autosiliconehoses.com/silicone-...o-4-metres.html just need to see if they do it in larger diameter - I think its 114mm internal diameter in the Diablo.
  4. Was thinking last night what parts would look better (in my opinion) in carbon: - Door Sills (Sudesh's idea, but neat) - Door Handles (Sudesh's idea again) - Dash and central console panel - I am looking at this in Q4 this year - Eyelashes on '99s over the Z32 lights (I think this was an option and standard on the 6.0's) - rear light surrounds (black on the SV anyway, but would look better in carbon imho - especially if the weave direction was opposite to each other) - air filter boxes - seen this done on a lot of 360/430's - engine side panels (they are carbon already, but are very plain to look at) what else ?
  5. the OEM ones are not that expensive actually at about £120 each. It was more the look I was thinking about - the existing one have off white string reinforcement and it doesn't really look that good, so I was thinking of something in a matt black, that I'd read somewhere that someone was looking at smooth pipers, and that got me thinking of silicon, but I think the bends are too tight without remaking the side panels in the engine. Just want to smarten it up a bit.
  6. Anyone got any ideas what to replace part number 17 with ? The current ones are looking very threadbare, and I'm sure I read somewhere here, that someone had suggested smooth piping ? I've been looking at 110mm silicon, but don't think it would make the bends unless it was pre moulded or two 90 degree bends were joined. Other flex ribbed pipe seems quite hard to get in this sort of size. I actually think its 114mm I need, but the car is still in the shop at the moment, so I can't check. Any thoughts ? or has anyone done it already. OEM is about £120 each, and they don't look that good with the yellowish string around them in my opinion.
  7. The SE30 had an option of larger Brembo brakes, shown on the prototype 000, these were optional at extra cost, so not a standard fitment.
  8. brace added from chassis to edge of wing (fender) panel, just above fuel tank. This will stop the flexing in the wing (fender) panel and sill panel joint, which was causing the paint to crack near the joint. Other side of car seems fine, because the wing (fender) has no gap to the parts inside the wing.
  9. right side repaired (was quite as bad as left)...
  10. left hand side corrosion... soundproofing felt between fibreglass cover and steel floor was still wet note: original big drain holes are not at the lowest points!
  11. total I have (all markets) is 346 from 1996 to 1999
  12. basically its the steel floor directly underneath the right hand seat, and most of the steel panel underneath the left hand seat, particularly around the edges, and around the joints/bends in the panel. glass fibre covers above the wadding are part numbers 10 & 11 in this picture... Seems to be from the road, but also had water found inside in the thin white wadding between the steel floor panels and the glass fibre cover that the seat rails bolt through. I'm thinking winter salt has caused it, but I'm told the wadding was quite wet too. all the edges were corroded, some extra drain holes were also found on the right hand side, like someone had tried to fix it previously right hand side new panel installed now - will post some pictures/before after shortly.
  13. not sure if I really like the changed look too much, so I'm tempted to go aftermarket HIDs with Angel eye DRLs like these instead... but, suspect it will be a winter project for 2014/2015
  14. Looks like they are around £2k for the pair or thereabouts, and they are a little different to look at - see pic.
  15. What's the floor made of in the Diablo ? I was thinking it was GRP (Fibreglass) but I thinking more likely its steel plate ?? anyone know for sure ? Looks mine is starting to corrode, am getting it investigated this week.
  16. Wondering if any you have noticed any bracing between the chassis and the front of the rear wheel arches (i.e. just behind the fuel flap) ? The plastic wheel arch liner seems to be the only brace for the wing(fender) at that point. From what I can see when you remove the wheel arch liner, the only think holding the wing(fender) bottom in place is the side skirt - their is no brace to the chassis on the inside at all. The left side has the oil cooler held in by a brace, but again this doesn't extend to the wing(fender). I am seeing some flexing in the side skirt and wing(fender) that is causing paint damage near the joint - I will get some simple light bracing fitted.
  17. The 99 models had headlights from a Nissan ZX300 Z32. The 1999-2000 Z32's had Xenon's available as an upgrade. I wondering if anyone has tried to fit these or got a source in the UK for RHD parts ? I believe the part number is 26010-VP126 or maybe VP125 for one side and starting 26060 for the other side.
  18. I'm not sure I believe this - why would there be 5 pre-production prototypes of a 150 car run ? The original prototype as far as I know is RLA12998 in 30 Purple. It has a plaque 0/150. It currently resides in Sweden I believe. This had the large Brembo brakes fitted I believe - these were not fitted to all the production cars, according to Mike Pullen (I'm presuming they were an extra cost option). The production cars were then numbered RLA12001 to T?LA12150 (1/150 to 150/150).
  19. VIN numbers run September to August. US cars had the month and year on their door, so you could compare against US cars with a similar last three digits, but I believe they were made in batches - European market for 2 weeks, US for 2 weeks (certainly true when the Countach was made) lp112.com has some pictures of door badges, but not sure how many. RLA is a little confusing btw - because all the SE30's were RLA cars 001 to 150, I wouldn't have thought they would have made all the SE30's in 1 batch ?
  20. Sudesh, any chance of a few shots of the clear front lenses, I may be interested in a set too please regards D
  21. Source of Keys... http://www.supremeplumb.com/cgi-bin/house/...Transponder.txt seem to have every previous Fiat style key available. blanks seem very cheap, but postage is a little expensive.
  22. I believe they are the same as Dodge Viper 2002 - will check and confirm.
  23. e-brake / handbrake pads are Brembo part number 07.5925.10 but I am struggling to find anywhere that sells them ! same as Murcielago and LP640
  24. Isn't this just the same as Redex from the 1980's ? Sudesh - how many miles has your Diablo done ? wonder what's making you think this is a good idea ? emissions going up ?
