  5. Hello and welcome, .....can be or Ken B. but I would advice you to edit your post for all f-chat remarks - just thought. Next step is the search button - there are already a few threads. Anyway, its up to you and you should drive both to get your own opinion about RWD / VT, the breakes, dash board....a.s.o. I am in love with my VT and would never ever swap for a `91-`93. Good Luck Wolfgang
  6. Its all stock original (well, I installed a TUBI). The steering whell is is not aligend in each Diablo - even in your Jota. You don`t see/feel it that much while you are driving but looking from top - down (like the pics are shot) I agree it looks a bit strange.
  7. ...and a few more from my beloved beast
  8. You are welcome P.S. sorry, first I hit the wrong button when I tried t reply you - the one with the "-" beside the reply button. I`m very sorry, my fault

  10. THANK YOU! fast & friendly email contact. Now I`m waiting to cover my beloved beast. .......an Italian Lamborghini in Germany with a cover from Kentucky. Best Wolfgang
  11. Congratulation!!! Absolut breathtaking. I love the pic together with the Auburn, so oppositional, just 2 cars from 2 different planets. CU on the road Wolfgang

  13. Thank you very much for the translation/identification in English/US. Its a real challenge for me to translate tech. stuff, which I even don`t know in german, in another language. Thanks for your help. And thanks a lot for you kind words. YES, time will come and it will be a past memorie....with a huge hole in my wallet.
  14. Common problem......so far the "hint" came from the factory in Italy!!! After replacing and fixing almost everything, we called the Lamborghin ifactory, spoke to a technical and he told us about the crank shaft, bearings, play, turning of the bearing shell and this is the reason that the time & speed sensor (the one at the flywheel) works wrong. And the damage of the crank shaft and crank box........not realy unkown! So, the problem is known at the factory and not the first time or one of a kind.
  15. Biggest problem is time. My garage master is (as usual) totally overloaded with work. Just to give you a glimpse of a "normal" day... - testarossa - my diablo vt - 360 CS - Bugatti EB110 - diablo GT 46/80 outside and waiting: - 2 x countach - 355 - 360 - mondial and 20 more Ferraris/Lamborghinis stored in an extra garage waiting for maintenance. Some of the work (edging, honing) must be done in an extra & specialized firm.
  16. Hello gents, update: what and why exactly the damage happend. 1 of the bearing shell (bushing) turned inside the bed. So, the plughole for the oil and lubrication was hidden/closed. No more lubrication for the crank shaft on this point. The bearing went hot and destroyed. The crank shaft is now tarnished and needs a complete revision - lots of time / money in another special firm. The crank case is also heavy damaged and needs a revision. New bearings.....a.s.o. Hope the pics will help to understand what I try to translate?
  17. its somewhere between 14-16 directon to the flywheel and not listed
  18. 34.000km / 21.250miles Oil changed every year No, not the main bearing - at he end of the crankshaft (looking direction gear box) are 4 bearings for ballance which are worn.
  19. I don`t know??? Just count the 170 hours of work X $ without parts
  20. update: Good news - they found the fault Bad news - its getting serious expensive (hard to translate for me) Its the a "balance-bearing" from the "crankshaft". Here is a link to the whole crankshaft: http://www.eurospares.co.uk/partTable.asp?...;B=38607&S= This bearing has x20 times more "bearing play" as usual or standart. So, its a 170 hours job - engine out, complete strip down to the crankshaft, hand made new bearing(s), and maybe the one or other part to fix while the engine is out....... Sometimes it must be more than love & passion to keep this "tractor" alive. Wolfgang
  21. OT, but just tought….. When I signed in here, asking for some technical help on my Diablo, I tought its serious & friendly board with Lambo owners and lovers. Yes, I have got some great and very friendly input which I highly appreciate, thanks again gents. After a while I came across this and few other threads. I am a bit scared about the tone, respect and vocabulary here. First thought…….but if even the Moderator is speaking this kinda strange dialect ?! Anyway , I am just a user/guest and newbie here and just tought….. Best Wolfgang
  22. Thank you very much for asking. No, but hopefully today. Yesterday he came with the trailor to pick up my Diablo. Today he will work on it and hopefully solve the problem. I handed him a list with all your ideas and input - what else it could be. I cross my fingers cause I realy would love to drive my beast again asap. Weather is beautiful in Germany and we have a lots of drive outs & Lambo meetings during the next weeks. I`ll keep you updated! Thanks all Wolfgang
  23. Hello Mike, thanks a lot for your adice. My mechanic has matched / done it the same way you described it - I was close beside and helped him. He changed both time & speed sensors and the speed sensor on the fly wheel and adjusted it exactly like you describe it. ......still the same problem. He will pick up my car today on a flat bed to bring it back to his garage. Hopefully he can solve the problem now with all the help I have got here. Please keep on with your brilliant ideas gents. Each input could help us. Thanks Wolfgang
