SAVE the LAST WEEKEND of SEPTEMBER 2014! Please do not make other plans or other events on Sept 30th, 2014 Save it for "The Vandenberg 2014" Hats off to Co. Marty, Jennifer and Jim for the most amazingly fun drive event and show of 2013! The Auto Gallery hosted a launch with fresh coffee and muffin bar for the drivers to fuel us all for the drive up on Friday. Jim had the drive worked out super smooth. Not a hitch not a ticket no worries. AMAZING drive up the coast, this drive up rivaled the Grand Giro in ultra short form. Once we arrived at the base we got checked in and off to the officers club we went for lunch and a mini show. Then off to the base museum where we were greeted by JP one cool cat who went over base history then he took us over to a THOR ON the PAD! Yes the last THOR and on the pad no less. Really how cool is that? Did I mention except for paying for lunch this is all free? After the base tour and the Thor experience we returned to the officers club where we gathered for dinner with an Airman. What a hoot to have a meal with whose serving us it was beyond cool, all the car people and the Airmen and Women of Vandenburg there. Truly an honor to be there, did I mention only cost so far was lunch and dinner? After dinner we drove to the Embassy Suites Hotel who had SECURE parking all sectioned off for us. Guards all night plenty of lighting as well... Those who wanted to party on had plenty of time to do as you wanted. Saturday morning we ventured out to the show, the hotel had micro fiber towels for our use, plus there was a car detailer who is amazing at the show for a quick freshen up. Next year they will be at the hotel so no worries there. The Show Grounds are on par with the best Monterey has to offer, set up is really quick simple and let the day start. The young lady who sang our National Anthem stunning.. Lotus group, Porsche, Ferrari club had the bulk of the show as expected a few Bulls came to play, Laust had his Espada there, Kevin brought his Diablo from AZ as a retired Air Force officer you would have though he would have known his wing unit was based out of Vandenberg! The Airmen and woman loved the event the wine was flowing the band playing the kids had events and activities for them as well a free car show that made you feel great. After the show we had a few hours to get ready for an after show dinner held at the Hitching Post not far from the show ground, that dinner was a real hoot!!!! ALL in ALL an AMAZING WEEKEND! The hotel kept the security in place until we all checked out. Sunday Morning BONUS! SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 at 9am on a clear blue Sunday Morning. Really how cool is that? So please tell your car buddies NOT to PLAN anything for the last weekend in September 2014.. The price is right the place is right and the reason is right!

The speed would be a contributing factor but not the proximate cause. Brian took down the Team web sites and FB page for a while, he just re-surfaced on Face Book. I have to say he is super cool, at the Grand Giro the last night I had my Go Pro on my car and did some go pro shots at the gala. We sat next to Brian and Concubine on the bus headed back to Bologna. What a blast that night we got in and we had left the Go Pro in the bus, Brian got it back to me. How he knew it was mine I do not know but that kind of integrity goes a long way in my book.

Have you looked at the likes it blows me away? The LP420 SVM is BIG in Pakistan, India, Mexico, Morocco 13 to 25 year olds love this. For most Lamborghini is only a dream and I think this fits to that dream of finding a wreck you can make to be yours. Truly only way I can explain it. If I could figure a way to make money off the site I would be able to finish the car LOL. No why would I do that? I dont sell anything the car has ZERO sponsors. The only thing I can think of is the romance of a thought kids get when the history of the car is posted it goes Bonkers on likes. I saw a short film with Valantino that showed part of the feeling and romance of the project but for a Miura S returned to the owner who cherished it. The reunion All I can say I'm blessed to have to car back. .. It may sit for a long time now as I am way out of money for it. But will do what I can and when I can. We have several great mods on that page who all have a passion for Lamborghini and most are photographers of Lamborghni cars that also helps them. But no I do not pay people to promotoe that page. My other pages where I do sell thins sit.. Ferrari Iphone mount and Clear View LCD for example if I were to pay I would pay for those sites but I have learned that Face Book is not a sales tool it is truly social in nature.

When the motor jumped time on the first fire up it was due to the builder not correctly putting the belt in and not properly locking it down. FORTUNATELY he was so bad that when it jumped time it stopped before any valves were taken out. Compression check has one bank advanced too far and one bank retarded. So we decided to lock down the belt order the proper tools for doing the timing but needed to check if our thoughts were correct before we pulled the motor and the heads. I(f we were right cool if not the damage would have already been done so no harm in setting the time as best we could and do a compression check then a test fire. We were correct and the motor fired right up. Next we time and tune!

Audi 4.2L V8 sticking with the V.A.G. motor because Lambo does not make a V8 any longer so if they had to get one it would be the Audi. You can get the R8 with the 4.2 or the Lambo V10 but you cant get it 2wd. You can get the G 2wd but not with the V8 so we went Audi V8 2wd. As it was but put in long wise..

Yes we are pulling it apart. NOTHING ALAN LEE did was done correctly, our bad for even thinking he had the motor right. So we re-re-re-do. The good part here is well if there is a good part, nothing is exotic on the motor so if need be we drop in a new motor and put the Borla induction on it. The trans he built we already have lined up a replacement.. Yes he is that bad.

Hers is the first fire up timing was on.. It jumped time the "builder" did not have the tension-er in properly. heads are coming off and valves checked. Here is the first fire up. Timing was better LOL...

Timing is off but she is alive.. There are some special tools needed to time the cams the first builder messed up, we can cut building motors off his skill set. but shes alive and getting re-re-built.
