I checked with check with our franchised dealer sponsors, Ricambi and some others. Didn't see any great pricing. Guess I was spoiled with Porsche parts. -

Who is Ricky and why would he have a wild animal? -
RSC also offers a ECU tune. Be cool if there was a real world comparison. My guess is that they are all similar.

My Ride in one Superleggera - Tunel parts

I'll take my chance on the used car as opposed to losing 100 grand. Look it over, get a PPI, check the computer readouts. Just my humble opinion. -
Anyone want to go halves or quarters with me in case it ends up the same as what we already have?

Even in stop and go traffic? Or does a TT Gallardo even do that? -
Carbon Ceramic Brakes on a Gallardo..Pro's ? Con's?

What differences have there been in the CCBs on Gallardos over the years? Are the Superleggera ceramics that different than those on the 560? -
Sent you a pm. Let me know if it is more complete. I will take it.

Great info Jeff. Car is an early 08 so warranty is through Dec 10. At this point I think it is showing by dirt/dust buildup. No dripping. Hopefully I won't need your assistance and can get it all sorted before buying the car.
-
Compare to this one if you have a minute. http://ext-n.com/lambo/GALLARDO_WORKSHOP_MANUAL.pdf This version has some duplication and seems to possibly be incomplete but better than nothing.
-
Oops. That was definitely a downgrade. Oh well, everything else is upgrade: engine, trans, bumper. You did ok. I thought I saw a thread on Swift springs. http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=39742 Not sure if they will work on a 560 though.

I'm 99% sure you can lower it without changing anything out.

Thanks for the responses. I am not super happy with the ppi. I talked to the service advisor and he said they weren't exactly certain what was leaking, where it was coming from or even what type of fluid..."my guys aren't going to taste it and I don't know what oil tastes like anyway." WTF? There is a decent chance it doesn't become a bigger issue until the car is out of warranty. I'd at least like to have some idea what I am up against. With clutch at 80% left and driving a few thousand miles a year, I wasn't planning on replacing the clutch...maybe ever during my ownership.
-
Interested. Is it any different than the one available for download around here? If it is a more complete version, I'll take it. RT
-
No. One is an exotic dealer and the PPI was at a factory Lamborghini dealer.

Got a PPI on an 08 and passed according to the dealer (official Lambo dealer, different from seller). Car has 7k miles and 80% clutch. All service records are in order and up to date. There is one item that concerns me though. "Oil leak coming from transmission bell housing." I was told that it was a 'seep' by the dealer and that it was too small to do anything about. He called it a p1? and said it was just something to be monitored. I'd prefer no leaks at all but if this is normal then it is what it is. Thanks for any feedback. RT

For some reason I can't edit. What tests have you done for longevity? How many miles? Seeing what the tradeoffs are. Cheers.
