  1. 9 HPs on car gurus now.... https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylist...rsModified=true
  2. no miles limit. deduct 100% in year 1. Law just changed....
  3. Learned that not all dealers are 'Black Label' dealers for Lincoln. Hold out for a black label version of the Nav. That is where they left it all on the field as far as doo-dads. I am being told if we want a black label the nearest official black label dealer will bring the car to us...let us drive it, check it out...and then do the paperwork at our house. They are 3 hours away...
  4. NOT on topic. URUS. Spent an hour with one. Overall, its not built to the same level as the Hs and A. The paint had loads of peel. The interior was a bit of a shit show. I sat in the back while different folks sat in the driver seat and listened in as they all said the same thing about the switches etc. To a person, they all thought it was too busy. The back seat was a bench that was not someplace I would want to sit for long. The use of plastics/ composites (NOT CF) everywhere was disappointing. The exhaust tips, the HORRIBLE plastic engine cover...lots of short cuts. The little details lacked. URUS standard equipment list was a joke. Everything was extra. Just to get the thing to the same standard as a run of the mill escalade in terms of options...it was $267k. Stupid. I am in the market for a new SUV. God bless IRS code 179. We were considering the URUS. for $200-250k the Bentley is vastly superior. A barely USED W12 Bentega with a $300k MSRP is $200k. bentley will soon have a V8S version with the SAME motor as the URUS. $189k to start/ $220 decked out. The RR just had a refresh, $130k decked out. There is a new MB G63 coming out late this year. New design.(google it). $165k. The REAL shocker is the new Lincoln Navigator. $95k. I had NO interest in a Lincoln until I saw one. It was as nice as the RR Autobiography SV. Seriously, its almost as if when Ford owned RR they copied RR best ideas and produced them in the Navigator for 50% less. (yes, of course this is what they did. Look at the Navigator..it looks like the full size Rover inside and out) The Navigator Black Label is IMO better than anything up to the URUS/ Bentega price range. The Lincoln doesn't have the snob appeal of the others, but its less than half priced and the stuff it offers for the price is almost impossible to believe. https://www.lincoln.com/luxury-suvs/navigat...els/blacklabel/
  5. IIRC same dude who made them for LOC makes them for Frank. And yes the LOC on a G is EPIC beyond description.
  6. you guys need to pick up a hard copy of the mag. The cover picture with the HP coming out of the trailer is poster worthy.
  7. Dealer never called me back..what do you think the MSRP on this one was? BTW, I was offered a orange PH with a MSRP of $335 for 8% off MSRP. If you want the connection PM me and I will pass along the info. Same dealer had a matt black car (not advertised) with a mid $300s MSRP and the same discount was offered. Orange car, not the car for me...sport seats are a non starter. Matte car was optioned perfectly, but the matte color would drive me bat shi*.
  8. not a special color....but an upgrade. Mantis. Just called the dealership asking if it was truly new or used...and the MSRP will report back.
  9. Back on topic.... What was the MSRP on this one (it's not a normal color)..$335? Asking $305,000. Weird part, this appears to be a NEW car: https://www.losgatosluxcars.com/vehicle-det...-ca-id-22535388 https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylist...sting=198261824
  10. Forget the BS about the ISR. Go drive one in Corsa mode and make sure it has the upgraded software for the ECU. (avail only thu Lambo). It is epic. (In auto mode it is not so good.) Just drive in corsa, all the ASR stuff is still there to save your ass. People bang on about the AV being big. Google the dimensions vs other cars. Porsches, Ferraris etc. It is virtually the same size length and width. Seriously, it is almost funny how wrong people are about the AV being huge. Ferrari 488 length: 179.8inches Aventador Length: 188 inches. Ferrari 488 width: 76.9 Aventador width: 79.8 inches. In other words, lots of idiots know it all's. Handling. Google this as well. The LP700-4 was one of the fastest cars around the top gear track. http://fastestlaps.com/tracks/top-gear-track Again, idiots banging on about the car not handling...not true. Having been to Lambo and seen these being built I can 100% attest to the fact that the AV is a true Lambo. Handmade in Italy. Literally, handmade. The Gallardo/ Huracan were assembled from part mostly from Germany. Walking the G/ H production line the guys were getting stuff out of boxes from Sparco (seats) etc and assembling. There were dozens and dozens of Gallardos all being assembled. Imagine a bolt together model. Bodies in stacks already painted (I believe in Hungry). On the other side of the facility, the Aventadors were slowly being handmade by real humans. The line was very slow. People on the AV line were older. The leather was being hand stitched. The cars were painted using a crazy 10 step paint process..(this was contracted out). When you drive a H it feels like a modern VAG product. TO ME the fit and finish feels like an Audi or a Porsche. Not bad. Don't get me wrong. If I am being honest 90% of the Huracan IS a R8. The Audi DNA is obvious in the H (and the Urus..didn't like it at all when we had a preview recently) When you are in an Aventador it feels like, smells like, sounds like a Pagani, ThethetheFerrari, P1...or something else at that level. The Aventador IS an occasion. BTW, we were at Ferrari when they were assembling 458s. They too are buying parts from all over the world. ferrari exhausts are from...CHINA. The tips are made by Tubi. We saw other major parts that a layman never sees in a Ferrari with Chinese maker marks. If we get a HP its because we want a GT3RS type ride...not because we in any way think it is on the same level as the Aventador. It is not. It really isn't.
  11. Agreed. Coupe looks epic. I just had our Aventador Roadster out for a couple hours on back country Texas roads. No cars, no cops...tops off, rear window down. Leaving the car in Corsa with the ESC on is about as good as it gets. The entertainment factor for the HP Spyder will be 20x the coupe This assuming that it is not a flexy flyer. I had a 458 Spider and that thing will chassis juddered to the point of being annoying. Loved the car and miss aspects of it, but would never get another. We have an Alfa 4c (all CF tub) and the Aventador Roadster...neither have any chassis flex that I have ever perceived.
  12. It would follow their usual pattern if the HP Spyder was released in March 2018 with deliveries end of 2018-ish. No RWS. New colors in 'Miami' hues wouldn't be a surprise. Its hard to predict what % of the current HP coupe owners will go to the Spyder. I bet at least 50% with 'upgrade'. That means more preowned HPs Q3, 4 of 2018. Some will sell sooner as a 'pretrade'. 2019 will be the first of DOZENS of 'LE' Performantes. There were 18 LE Gallardos....https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamborghini_Gallardo I suspect RWS in 2019 as a 2020. Then all Huracans will have RWS. No way they will just offer that on the Performante and not have it as at least an option in the lesser Huracans. (ala Porsche with the 911) Safe bet that 2018 HP will be seen as more desirable because it DOESN'T have RWS. As with all hardcore cars the V2 is always deemed to be less than its older brother because the subsequent cars are 'too soft'. Lambo will run this cycle until the new Huracan replacement comes out in 2021 (as Lambo CEO reported). That car will probably have V10+. I wouldn't be surprised if VAG announced in 2019 that there will be a Lamborghini F1 team in 2020/ 21. The CEO of Lambo ran Ferrari's F1 team and there is NO doubt they brought him into Lambo with plans for a F1 team. I think this is old speculation, but there will probably also be a V8 Huracan. Lambo needs to have a solid upper $100s car to go against Porsche.
  13. If there were to be a new HP in 2019 they would be releasing it here: https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-news/firs...ed-in-pictures/
  14. this is probably half of the available inventory of HPs for sale. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylist...rsModified=true
  15. Quick Google search. The Lambo hybrid IS coming....in 2022 for the Huracan replacement. In the meantime, of course, they will sell as many as they can. Just like they did for the 570-4. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars...-be-plug-hybrid http://www.thedrive.com/sheetmetal/15615/t...-hybrid-in-2022
  16. IF there were a hybrid replacement coming soon there is zero chance there wouldn't be leaked info. Zero. Chance. The Huracan replacement may have some sort of v10+ hybrid. There again, I doubt it. Of course if the 2019 HP were to be hybrid the 2018 would be depreciation proof. IIRC Lambo can use VW hybrid sales to make it so they don't have to make that a concern.
  17. I am in the market for a HP. Our Aventador Roadster needs a new friend The HP is an 'all boxes checked' true super car (to me). from a 30 min test drive my take away was the HP is a combination of all my previously owned favorite cars: - Scuderia - 458 - 570 SL - 997 GT3 RS All of those cars were incredible but had shortcomings that made their existence in my collection last less than 24 months. I miss them all, but would never buy any of them again. The Performance really does take all those cars best attributes and adds something that I can only describe as 'Lambo-ness'. The HP is truly special. Been watching the used / new inventory. There are at least 20 for sale new/ used at present. Our local dealer has 2. They only have one on their site. Other dealers are doing the same thing. Clearly, there is an attempt to not have all available new HPs for sale beyond the dealers own site. Odd considering these cars are so hot at present... I suspect Lambo is keeping a very close eye on the supply/ demand for the HP. There are perhaps too many great new cars competing with the HP...a ton coming out soon and then add the almost overwhelming number if epic used cars in the same price range. I look at our Aventador for comparison. Its probably worth around what a loaded up HP would sell for new. Our AV has 4k miles and a ton of CF! There is zero chance I would buy a HP over an AV. Is the $250-350k market over saturated? I could buy new, but there seems to be a bit of an oversupply thing going on. That makes me nervous. When we bought our 2011 570-4 new we got a 10% discount. That was in early 2011. I suspect the same thing is around the corner for the HP. what will the values of used 2018 HPs be in a year? 15% less I bet. rumors about rear wheel steering, spyder release next month (deliveries starting late this year I was told). Remember, I am in the market. So my perspective is one of a BUYER. I am biased. However, as many of you I have owned a ton of high end cars (and still do). depreciation predictions for cars in this range is less of an art vs a science. for example, my old 2011 570-4...what is it worth now..after Lambo over saturated with 5-6 LE 570-4s? answer: half of what it cost new. In the scheme of things that is actually not too bad vs other makes. will the HP depreciate? Of course. This time next year a $350k HP will be for sale used for $280k....
  18. Opt-out. That is what I have done. Totally media free. No FB, news, news radio..nothing. I do read the occasional car board (like this one). Other than that I could care less about all the click-bait drama that seems to fill everyone elses heads. World needs to wake up to the fact that the human brain is wired to love drama. Your media: email, chat, social, news, news radio is all giving your grey matter a little dopamine hit. Same effect as porn on the brain. In other words, 99.9% of everyone you know is 'addicted' to media. Test yourself, go for the rest of the day w/o any media. Watch how long you go before you are twitching for a hit of 'media'.
  19. is skipping any sort of ICE (in car entertainment) a bad idea on a $300k Lambo that is designed in the same theme as a RS Porsche a bad idea?. A non-ice Porsche GT3-RS or Ferrari Speciale matters not. Personally I will only spec options that add to the light weight theme and not distract. Parking sensors on a car like this (to ME) seem silly. Besides, it is possible that the H-P may not need ICE. Nothing dates a car faster than the interface. I bet the in car noise from this little beast may negate any sort of ICE. I had a Scuderia with no ICE and loved it. Same with a RS Porsche. NAV is better on your phone..... I like your thinking about the the bronze wheels and bronze valve covers.... The super safe colors to order are the launch colors. Green and matte orange. The least safe are the reds. Red Lambos seem to sit. Going to visit the H-P this week. Speccing soon there after.
  20. Keeping my 14 Roadster. Love it too much to ever sell...and getting the Huracan P. Wife likes the GT qualities of the Avey so no reason to go SV. The H-P is the perfect compliment. Thanks to everyone for their feedback.
  21. Amazing to consider they have sold so many cars in this price range.... great info. Thanks for posting.
  22. You are right...no roadsters for the Murci SV.
  23. I believe there were maybe 5 Muri SV Roadsters.... (how cool is it there is a wiki in this!?) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamborghini_Murci%C3%A9lago
  24. I HATE depreciation topics on car forums. Kills the fun buzz. With that said I am tossing around keeping my 14 Aventador Roadster (absolutely love it) and adding a Huracan Performante. The H-P is on order with a late 17 delivery. Searching for information on Aventador SV Roadsters. I am in the learning phase so please be patient. Seems most are selling for $50k or less over MSRP. If I am doing my math correctly a very nice SV Roadster should be selling in the high $500k range. I had 2 dealers tell me the cars will settle around MSRP once the S arrives. Makes sense (I guess). There are only 500 SV Roadsters. Looking at Murci SV Roadster prices which are double a Muri Roadster what do you think will happen to the A SV Roadster in terms of depreciation. Murci SVs are in the $400k range now which is about what they cost new. If the Aventador SV Roadster is going to retain its value there is no way I am keeping my 14 Roadster and getting the H-P. The cost of the Aventador Roadster SV would be less than my 14 and the Huracan-P. The H-P and the Aventador will depreciate... Owning a depreciation proof super car is the best of all worlds. Thoughts?
