  1. At first I wasn't too fussy about the EG, now I love it, as others have said DCT is too easy, with EG you have to drive the car with throttle control, timing etc. Once you master it, you'll never want to go back. Mind you for a daily driver the DCT would be my preference, but for going out and having fun I'd take EG any day...
  2. Also I've heard that if the super capacitor is dead even with a good battery the engine will start but you cannot put it in gear...
  3. same here, mode selection doesn't make any difference..
  4. Great example, thank you I think while these cars are generally quite reliable, for most of us they are not DD so they don't get driven daily. My experience with auto's is they need to be driven. So I guess what Im saying is when the car sit's idle over the winter, gremlins seem to pro-create. It's nice to have that piece of mind so that if a big ticket item like a dash gauge cluster goes u/s warranty picks up the tab. Btw, Im in the Pacific NW so I keep insurance on all year and try to get out for a run as much as weather permits...
  5. Curious about getting to Sant'####, fly to Venice rent a car?
  6. Yep, a closer look and the interior CF not OEM...
  7. To put this in perspective GM builds 10,000,000 cars a year on average, that is over 27,000 cars per day or 1141 cars per hour... Compare that to Lamborghini building 7000 AV's since inception....
  8. I'd say the price is in the proper range for the MY'14 and associated mileage... Nice looking car & the CF additions are for sure an added bonus... Not sure I like the blue sex lights addition though...LOL
  9. Has anyone gone to the factory at Sant #### Bolognese, Italy and put in your build order? Apparently they have upgraded the Ad Personum department and can become quite an experience in and of itself, plus one would get an even better preview of what you order verses the showroom computer program. It's a ways to travel for us North American types but combined with some touristy items might be interesting and fun...

    Urus

Heard through the grapevine (Lol) that there will be two or maybe three models of the Urus: Sport Model (two fronts seats and a third rear seat) and a more conventional model (two front seat & two rear seats), and possible a third version...Demo versions to be in North America some time in January 2018...
  11. Regarding changing Idle RPM, just noticed this in the Owners Handbook (Page 276) Power Management System: "You will also notice that the idle speed of the engine is higher than usual. This is perfectly normal and should not be cause for concern. The increased idle speed produces more electrical power for charging the battery." I think this makes sense for me because I notice that the engine idles normally around 850, but then at times it's 1000rpm especially when the cooling fans kick in. Anyone else notice this?

    Urus

No because we don't anyone to forget that Lambo is VW $$ read: German Lol
  13. Yes definitely, think of it would you rather put out the big $$ for car with warranty or a car without it, I know what my answer would be...
  14. My understanding is that it is Full Factory warranty same as what is covered on the standard 3 year warranty. An authorized Lamborghini Dealer can approve this extension subject to an inspection, however if the Dealer has been servicing your car the inspection is not required. For me, if I was going to keep the car I would definitely pay for the extended warranty, that $7K will pay for itself pretty fast for any big ticket items, plus it's peace of mind which is a benefit in and of itself.
  15. looks great sound great, what about the potential fire hazard with this mod, I know the recall on the AV's was due to excessive revving while stationary and that was with the factory exhaust system....
  16. I would say that is a good possibility....
  17. Yes very true, mine are covered in Expel which I really come to appreciate when I fumble a bit removing & storing...
  18. Oh man, those do look good & great protection if you keep them out of the car.... I'm sure the cost is "Lambo $$$" so they were not cheap Lol, nice gift!!!!
  19. Maybe this is a dumb question but....I was wondering for those with the AV roadster if when they want an open top do you always store them in the bonnet or if it's a good weather day just remove and place them in the garage safely. Maybe it's just me not used to it, but it seems it's easy to scratch the panels when storing in/out them in the bonnet (gloss black top), plus if your out for a few hours and coming home why the need to take them with you, just wondering....
  20. Totally in love!!! While the H was great, the AV is in a class of it's own in terms of style, presence, performance and that V-12 engine sound is like manna from heaven. Driving in traffic stop & go no problem I just never go auto, manage your shifts and it's smooth as the DC. Same goes for high performance driving, one tip I picked up is "lift -shift" for throttle control and it works great without the lurching, it's like you have to drive this car which makes it all the more challenging and fun. Lot's I haven't done like Thrust mode (launch mode) gonna wait to get up the courage to experiment with that, but I've only put on 150km since I brought it home, can't wait to get her out again.
  21. Same with mine, idle RPM moves around. Tech told this is normal for the V-12. Out today for a run, idle was at 850, then after some accelerated runs it was 1000rpm, stopped to put some gasoline in it idle was just under 1000. Will post some photo's when I get to the min post requirement....
  22. Hello, I'm a newbe to this great forum. I just traded my Huracan Spyder for a 2016 Aventador Roadster (Grigio Iris). Comes with the Factory Exhaust mod. The engine idles at 1000 RPM warmed up, is this a normal idle RPM, used to seeing 7-800 on the Huracan. Just wondering....
