  1. There was a Murcielago in that colour on the market a few years ago - it proved literally impossible to sell due to the colour. I could sort of see Viola working but I think that one was a brave choice!
  2. Hi - yeah - ended up with Arancio Atlas - I don't think there were any "wrong" choices - and I wavered over Ithaca - but in the end I knew I would only be happy with Orange!
  3. I'm not hearing anything about a DCT box......and I hope not! I hate the DCT boxes in my other cars - they are SLOW in comparison to the SV!!! ...plus they lack the positive feel and emotion of the ISR box! So my vote is to keep the box! The only thing I would prefer would be a manual! Maybe they should do a LP750R !
  4. OK - not bad value then! The factory mod is around $2k - mine will be installed when the SV gets here in around March - so will be hard to gauge the before and after effect. I have it fitted to my last Aventador (a 2012) when the mod became available - and it was noticeably quicker and snappier after the fitment.
  5. Is that the "factory" exhaust modification - or a self-developed one?? I am getting the factory "sports exhaust" software fitted to mine - which opens the pipes when the car is in Sport and Corsa - but leaves it closed in Strada. Bonus is supposedly a modified fuel map (hence slightly more power) and no warning lights!
  6. I'd still go comfort seats...as the buckets are like sitting in a medieval torture device!
  7. Good call. I spoke to a friend of mine yesterday who got his car on 2nd January - he ordered sports seats as he thought they were the ones to get despite me telling him otherwise. He is TOTALLY gutted with them - he was into his dealer on Friday and said he wanted to order some comfort seats - obvious he didn't get very far.....he's now looking at aftermarket options as well.....but he's really angry that he didn't listen to what I had said a few months ago.
  8. Put me down for a set - where do we order??
  9. Yeah - Love the car - but agree - personally I would deep-six the rims and put the original ones back on? Sorry!
  10. I did the Academia Intensivo at Catalunya - there were 14 SV's present - 4 had the sports seats option - we had open face helmets - and I was unable to sit in the sports seats cars without canting my head over slightly (again I am 5' 11" and 220 lbs) - the seats were as far back as they would go - there is no "quick" height adjustment - but I did read somewhere that the seats can be unbolted and mounted at a lower position - so possibly this can be accommodated.? Head clearance for me would have been OK with no helmet - but even then I felt I was sitting too high. The electric adjustment seats allowed me to have about 2 fingers width space above my helmet - so could be lowered to a suitable position. I have specced my car with the Electric seats based on the experience at the track day - everyone else who I talked to on the day was going to do the same.
  11. Hmmm....well the people who were having issues were all complaining of the overall position and the "hard points" on the seats - combined with the seats being cramped in certain areas - in my case (I am 5' 11") the seat height was too high (god knows how anyone taller makes to fit into the car!) and the seats impinged on my shoulders, and more painfully, my outer thighs - and no amount of padding would have sorted that out - in fact it would have made it worse as I already felt like I was driving from inside a kiddies seat! The easy fix, as long as you don't have the car yet - is to pay the extra few thousand and order the electric adjustable seats - they are seriously VASTLY superior - personally I also think they looked better as well.......so the only advantage of the "sports" seats - is the weight saving. (I don't know how big the saving in weight is - but can't imagine it will be so significant so as to put up with constant discomfort and a poorer driving position?)
  12. I drove both types round Catalunya for a full day.......the sports were uncomfortable after even 3 or 4 laps for most (I had real bruises the next day from the sports seats) . The ratio of sports to electric on the day was something like 75% in favour of the electric seats...by the afternoon no one wanted to drive the sports seats equipped cars except the really short and skinny people ( of which there were very few) ! At no time - including some hot laps keeping up with the GT3 drivers - did I find the electric seats lacking in support compared to the "sports" seats - actually quite the contrary - because I could get my exact driving position I was much more stable and comfortable in the car and genuinely they have as much lateral support as the "sports" seats - so if you are buying the "sports" seats you are buying them on looks and weight saving alone. So I hear what people are saying about using them for short runs...but wow...unless I was literally just driving round the block I would always be wanting the electric adjustable seat......and this is from someone (me) who ran a 964RSL as a daily driver for two years...
  13. Anyone know if this can be ordered during build or after market only???
  14. An acquaintance who has an SV spider on order told me that his dealer said that a re-flash of the ECU is/will be available on the SV, like the "Sports exhaust/ power upgrade" on the regular Aventador - to make the exhaust louder and release a bit more power?....anyone heard anything about this? its the first I have heard.
  15. I've had quite a bit of "seat" time in both seat styles - albeit only on track. The "comfort" spec seat is exactly that.....it is MUCH more comfortable than the fixed bucket 'sports" style - and, for me at least (5'11" - 220 Lbs ), is 100% as supportive. So if you specify the sports seats - you are doing it for the looks alone - there is no real performance difference (unless perhaps you are a 140 lb beanpole) . I could drive the comfort seat round the track all day....the sports seats gave me pain in my outer thigh area and lower back within a few laps (much more restrictive and narrow than say the bucket seats in a Porsche GT3/CGT style seat) - and I had bruises the next day.........so bear this in mind if ordering........of the 12 or so cars at the Catalunya event only I think 3 or 4 cars had the buckets - which is telling - and I don't think anyone even realised UNTIL they got into the sports seats cars...and all the Pro drivers always stuck to the "comfort" spec seats.........read into that what you will....
