I've been driving my Porsche's and Lambo's to the office for years. A couple of customers give me crap...but they give me crap about anything I drive. And I will add.. My business has been on a nice growth curve

It was the pack mentality with this group. If you weren't wearing RED you were out. I've been real active with the Porsche guys for 20 years and those guys are always friendly and enthusiastic. I agree with LVEric about some of the nicest people in the car groups are the guys with the most amazing collections.

Took the LP to a F-club get together yesterday. This being Wi, usually means there is one Lambo there and it's usually me. There are however a lot of F-cars here. Yesterday at the Quaker Steak meet there were upwards of 25of them. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, the guy directing traffic says... MAN BUY A MUFFLER FOR THAT THING! I gave him a dose of 6000rpm's and said back...why?,it sounds incredible. Of course they had me park on the other side of the lot, away from the F-cars. That was fine. So after I backed in and popped the doors just about the entire crowd of people crowded around the car. I was keeping an eye on the car as I was visiting with some friends that were there and I noticed that non-stop the Lambo was getting all the attention. It was even stranger in the restaurant. My wife and I sat down to order lunch. was wearing a Lambo shirt. No one with Ferrari garb sat anywhere near or made any attempt to visit. The Porsche guys did. Leaving the event was fun. There is a long entrance ramp to the freeway.

That's true. but it's a bit inconvenient when my phone rings or I want a sip of water.

I would build an extra garage for those!

No glove box. Don't know why they skipped on that. The console between the seats is also nearly worthless. My cellphone does fit, barely. But the cellphone and a wallet is too much for it. I'd guess that console storage area might be an inch deep.

Is there a good add on out there for some interior storage? Nothing huge..just a place for wallet, cash, guns etc...

Took delivery 2 weeks ago on an 08 LP640. I can say now that they did a great job. The manual was missing. The salesman I dealt with had a new one from the factory brought in. All new and in the leather pouch. Their business staff was pro and efficient getting the paperwork complete. The driver who did the delivery is an employee and he was also first-rate. If you are looking at something there, I give them an *A* across the board.

I like driving early in the morning, when it's really quiet out. I drive 20 miles one way to work, on fabulous curvy ,hilly country roads.. I do take my cars to the office, weather permitting. My neighbors haven't ever been a-holes about my cars, because I try and be as quiet as possible leaving. The guy closest to me is the chief of surgery at the hospital and he works all hours of the day. Ultimately, I don't like how loud the car is. Once it's out on the road it sounds incredible, but getting to that road is the issue.

I have been away on business for a couple of days. It will be early next week that my local mechanic will have a chance to see what is actually there. I am guessing the primaries are removed.

Both good plans, I think for the long term that converting it back to factory has the most merit. I do have a maintenance staff in the company that I would trust to do the install. However, does changing exhaust systems require any modifications to the ECU? All this being said, if any of you LP640 owners reading this thread have a stock system you want to sell, or want a loud after-market system send me a PM.

I'm sure you guys are getting tired of my questions. As soon as the manual arrives for my car I promise to read it! The question, the car has a Larini exhaust system. I am already hearing that my neighbors are considering a petition to have me removed because of the volume. It is very loud. I don't want to give up the amazing noise out on the road, but driving the car through town is not going to end well. My wife says she can hear it 5 minutes before I arrive..and I am doing what I can to keep it quiet. I need some suggestions.

My older one is definitely not as quick as my 10 year old. I wonder if getting a new one to replace the 17 yr old is worth it?

I bought my first V1 17 years ago and my second about 10 years ago. They both still work. The newer one is in my daily driver. It's time to update the older unit for the LP640 and I am reading through threads I found in search.. But it's time for a new thread on the subject. I like the GPS features in the Escort and most reviews seem very positive. I know that the V1 has probably saved me hundreds of times.

My negotiations took a few days because we emailed. I think we had the initial phone call, then one after we finalized the deal. I looked in my email folder and saw there was a total of 5 back and 6 forths over 2 days. I had to smile at my final one. It was short and sweet. My final offer, I'll meet you in the middle at $XXX,XXX. I like your car, but I also like the yellow car in Dallas, and I am buying a car today. 15 minutes later he emailed me back, approved.

Mike Fehl was my salesman. He had to take a vacation after we completed the deal.
