  1. I think it's not easy to find someone in the USA that can properly restore and service a Countach: it's very hard here too (and we are exactly where the car was built and I even sent the car to the shop of the former Lamborghini factory internal assistance point boss). So I can easily imagine that restoring and servicing one in USA can be a nightmare and/or an ocean of money. Reading what you wrote, maybe you didn't found the "right" shop: the car hasn't all those problems, trust me. It has several, but not so many and so big. Here there were a lot of rumors about the Ferrari 208 turbo early model: bad working and so on. All bull s h i t s. I have four of them, so I know how things are: you just have to send the car where they know how to properly fix/service it and pay the money they ask. Just then you will have a great car. In any case no shop can erase the car's faults, that are the ones I wrote: no more, but no less, of course ciao
  2. the Countach is the Countach: there is a price (not only money) to drive the most outrageous supercar ever made. It's not suited to everyone taste, exactly like everything else. It's not a perfect car either, nor by far. But driving one is something you won't ever forget. I think those few words well describe the Countach, a milestone in supercar design and history. Yes, It has a lot of problems, but not much more that others Italian supercars of its age and much less than the Miura, that was by far the most fire prone car ever made. ciao
  3. Facts: that car is a nightmare. A lot of understeer, scaring, intimidating, very hard clutch, too hot, heavy gearbox shifter, no windows, brute power (at least 5000S and QV carbs cars), no side and rear visibility, almost no brakes. The car is not a friend, it's an enemy that always wants to kill you. But on the other hand I have to say that driving a Countach was by far the most emotional drive of my life and one of my best moment ever. So: it's a great experience to drive one, a strong emotion that everyone shoud have! Here below the uforgettable first time that I drove the car on a public road. ciao
  4. No, Fortis, it isn't at all. It's a car engineered and developed here at Sant' A gata, with a lot of esclusive features. Yes, it will have a lot of Audi switches and so on, the V8 twin turbocharged is a development of the Audi (and Bentley) one, but the car is a Lamborghini and not an Audi nor a Porsche. It will differ from the Porsche Cayenne much more than the LP640 Performante from an Audi R8. Much and much more: trust me. I don't have a gain on Lamborghini sales, so I can say what I know and I have no reason to tell lies! Ciao
  5. Means (more or less) 158 K euro + VAT (22% here) Prices are still debated, but will be a bit higher than previously supposed (they must be much higher than the Cayenne Turbo S). Note: stunning looking!! ciao
  6. It starts leaking some definitive info on the car: 650 HP, 22" rims, prices starting (Italy price with VAT) at 190 K euro, sand crossing and jumping ok. It's not an offroad car, but it was tested and verified that it can play for a long time on sand hills you have in the Emirates and so on, up and down, jumps, sand drifting and so on. It will be a good toy for Sheikh's sand plays. First customer deliveries: late spring 2018 ciao
  7. No, the first and last one was the 250 GTE given to Police sergeant Armado Spatafora in 1964. Ciao
  8. Lamborghini CEO Stefano Domenicali delivered a new Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 (the second one) to Italian Police (Polizia) in Rome, at Internal Ministry building called the Viminale http://www.quattroruote.it/news/eventi/201...izia_video.html the main purpose of the car is the high speed delivery of human organs and blood to hospitals, like the old Gallardo did, that now will be retired and sent to the Italian police museum (and later to Sant'A gata museum) This one will service in Bologna Police department (the other Huracan is in service at Rome police department) Enjoy the very nice video! ciao
  9. I had protective films on Contach rear fenders, that are very exposed to the road debris (a disaster): they help a lot, but they just reduce the damage as the hardest hits cross the film and damage the paint. It was a very thick film, very visible, but wasn't enough. This said, it reduces the damage by ten times even if it doesn't protect enough to avoit the paint shop. ciao
  10. Range Rover Sport is much more a truck than a supersport car with raised sides like the Urus will be. You have to compare the RR sport with a Mercedes G or a Toyota Land Cruiser and something like that, not with te Urus: the RR sport is an offroad car, the Urus not at all. Urus cannot cross deep water or climb a rocky hill like the RR sport could do, and doesn't have reduced gears. But the RR sport cannot even follow an Urus on an handling track nor compare as top speed, drag times or braking distance. ciao
  11. It's a raised sides supersport car, 4WD, 4WS. Price (here) will start at 180 k euro (30 k less than the 488 GTB). All from Quattroruote ciao
  12. Quattroruote says 497 x 200 x 165 (h) cm. Available in 4 seaters or 5 seaters options. 4 liters V8 TT 600+ HP engine. Carboceramic brakes. No offroad attitudes. Early deliveries in summer 2018. Hybrid hi performances model one year later (2019). Will be officially introduced on December 5, 2017, at Lamborghini factory ciao
  13. On Quattroruote Italian magazine, April issue, there are the Urus pictures/renders: they are not official, but the car is that. It's very nice and aggressive. A bit different than the prototype shown some years ago, but quite close and even better looking Quattroruote April 2017 issue ciao Edit: in the viodeo there isn't the Urus, just the link to April issue promo. You have to buy it, sorry!
  14. Thanks for sharing: I think Verde Manthisis one of the best color for this Performante. ciao
  15. Thanks, but it's no more than an opinion like others. I'm sorry, I don't know anything. We all (Italians) love both brands, of course, but the non car enthusiast likes much more Ferrari due to their long and succesful F1 racing activiity, as F1 motorsport is very very popular here (on the tv...) I don't like Marchionne, but the California (a great car that I drove and appreciated a lot) is much more like a Maserati GT (like the 3500 GT, one of the best Maserati ever) rather than a Ferrari, as it hasn't much of the typical Ferrari DNA (top performances, perfect for a track day, racing emotions and so on) ciao
  16. I don't take money from any of the two nor I have a new Ferrari or a Lambo. But I know very well the two factories as they are very close here around and I know in person many workers and suppliers of both factories. Some points they all tell me, talking in person: -Ferrari first goal is to gain money so they save every cent they can. -Lamborghini quality is far ahead -Lamborghini reliability is far ahead (V10 cars, ties on V12 cars) -Lamborghini are best looking, or at least they still have the old Italian design and not the Far East one that now rules at Ferrari -Ferrari engines are still a bit better as power output -Lamborghini first goal is not to gain money: they just want to build better cars than Ferrari (not easy, but possible) -Ferrari California is a shame -Ferrari thinks to be the White House while Lamborghini just thinks to be a VIP friend you have -Ferrari will do the Dino (V6) to reach the 10000 units per year. I saw in person at a very well known suppliers building the two different production lines: the Ferrari products line and the Lamborghini products line. The material cost for the Lamborghini product is twice (two times). This said, I'm very proud they both are Italian and very close to my home. ciao
  17. the answer can be only one: you buy what you like with the money you have. And then I can add this: I think Sinatra opinion is more right than Marchionne one. As if you can pay, you can buy every Ferrari and Lamborghini you want: it's just a money problem, nothing else. ciao Alberto
  18. I have a friend here that still has to choose color, options and so on: I would tell him to go for the classic Verde Ithaca. Or Colorado Copper (rame Colorado), or the ultra classic Arancio Miura: I think last two are ad personam custom color, correct? Does anyone here saw the Verde Singh at some preview? It's another "scandal" color that I like on such a car Thank you very much ciao
  19. Italian laws are very severe against "slander in the press": from six months to three years in jail. Lamborghini has three months of time to start the prosecution action, from the moment they learned the fact: maybe you are right, but I wouldn't sleep quietly. ciao
  20. I think Lamborghini lawyers will prosecute someone very soon. The Pirelli Trofeo R is the same tire Alfa Romeo 4C (and probably the Giulia QV) had during its 'Ring fast lap: those record or fast laps are (all) very well prepared for a long time with tires comparisons, the best driver available, a track race team, long and perfect car settings, blueprint assembly, tapes and so on. They are what they are: a race lap with a car for sale perfectly tuned with a race driver and the best tires available. None of those lap times was ever certified by anyone else than the one that did it: never, so nobody can say they are real and not fake. But nobody can say they are fake too. The Pagani Zonda R even wasn't a street legal car, had a Mercedes CLK GTR race engine, race exhaust, race tires and so on: we all applauded that record without ever complaining about how they did it. The same we had to do with this amazing Huracan Performante, that is a road car for sale at more or less 250 k Euro and not millions. I'm very disgusted with all this insinuations talking about the new Lamborghini street car Ring record. ciao
  21. another keyboard miracle: there will be many more... ciao
  22. the car has an increbile stability and traction: if the Aventador SV did 6' 59", this car did 6' 52" for sure: 1000 lbs less weight, smaller and with a much bigger aerodynamic efficiency. I never saw a lap record video that showed such an easiness in driving: that car is a milestone in supercar aerodynamic and chassis perfection. Cocksuck@rs!! ciao
  23. unbelievable lap time with even "standard" tires, unbelievable driving easiness without too much corrections with the steering wheel: what a big downforce that car has! Standing ovation for the driver and the car, a milestone in road car aerodynamics performances. ciao
  24. VERY impressive: the car looks even very firm and "easy" to drive Unbelievable ciao
