  1. ....get a rebuild kit for that ........or buy a rebuilt one for T Rutlands FWIW
  2. I agree. There are no decent Countachs under a $100k.
  3. sounds like double talk to me
  4. Awesome pics. Thanks for sharing !
  5. Excellent write up. Thank you Kristy. Topcarbon, yes, but do you think they can match the to the bumper itself ?
  6. Is there a procedure for removing the front bumper ? TIA
  7. Thanks Gallardo boy for your info. I doubt anything from a Murcie will fit my VT though. Also, thanks Sameer for your opinions as well. However, to me, Allan is God, and I respect his insights because he's been there done that more than I ever will. I'm afraid to mess with the stock set up unless I have a sure bet formula for the sound I want. And it appears it's out there, in the form of $20k (and probably worth every penny).....but, a bit of a stretch for me. Many thanks. I guess I have some thinking to do.
  8. Thank you Allan. You've been very helpful.
  9. Thank you for the info. Allan, have you heard a Quick Silver on a Diablo? And if so, what is your take on that ? Also, what is the best system for a Diablo (money being no object). I am Looking for high pitched tuned (F1 style) sound. Much appreciate the input. JP
  10. I'm curious about the following : - has anyone ordered from Larini ? Are they prompt ? - has anyone installed a Larini muffler on their diablo ? - Was the sound satisfactory ? - were there fit issues ? TIA, G
  11. Did you put a stock (OEM) clutch in it or an aftermarket one ? Sounds like the stack up is too thick and you can't disengage. or Your system needs bleeding. But, if the problem was there before, then I think it points more towards the type of clutch you put in. Might need a new slave cyl. (not sure) The reason it grinds when you shift with the car off is (as Mark explained), when the car is off, the gears/syncro's in the tranny are all stationary, you shift without a problem. When the engine is running (clutch pedal out), they're all spinning. WHen the engine is running and you depress the clutch, they stop spinning temporarily at the engine speed and sync to the tranny speed (and temp breaks the load off the gears), so the syncro's can "sync" and you can engage the next gear smoothly. However, in your case... when you depress the clutch pedal, the clutch is not fully disengaged, thus things are still spinning in the tranny (and it's still under the engine load)...thus you grind. things that cause this: -air in system -clutch slave -clutch too thick Take it back to your mechanic. You can't sell it the way it is anyways.
