  1. I might have a good connection for you--let me ping a friend and find out who to talk to.
  2. What about distributing through iTunes? No clue on the logistics of it (other than I've sold an app through the app store). Would you be able to manage your distribution yourself that way?
  3. Yep! It's really turned into a great gathering. Since it's winter now, we've moved the gathering to a french pastry shop up the road. Smaller grouping, but it's still hanging out on Saturday mornings. In February the RTC gathering will start up again. You should come out one morning, it's a great group of people and a lot of fun. 4. I was going to post that I picked up a Glock 23...but now I feel like the guy showing up with the mini cooper at the monster truck show
  5. I really want to punch some of those guys in the nuts after seeing this and the other Super Trofeo video. Some crappy driving there--maybe they need to look up "apex" in the dictionary because a majority of them don't know what it is...
  6. I'm curious why the SS always uses black cars? It seems like a mix or a generic silver would allow them to blend in instead of always sticking out--unless they do have a mix, and the black cars are meant for intimidation.
  7. The rules on private fighters in the US are interesting...there are several fighter jets that are considered "pre ban" (such as the F5) that you can fly unrestricted. Of course, all armament must be stripped and you can't have weapon-targeting radar onboard. Above that, you have to get a waiver to fly others, and it's dependant on who you are and what you want to use it for. There are 5 MIG-29's in the US right now. Some are used privately for defense contract work (think "Red Star" type stuff) and others are pretty much show and display. Larry Ellison tried to get one to fly around but he's pissed off the FAA so much they denied him. The tricky thing is actually getting a working jet--many governments will only sell to other governments, so you'd have to find someone that is willing to sell you a Harrier. Many won't because of the worry of it going to the wrong guys. However, if you have enough money, there is usually a way to get anything.
  8. The tan plane in the back is an F5, but the one in grey up front is a Jaguar.
  9. RomanDad, I am buying you dinner the next time I'm OC. That is hilarious--on a day I really needed it. Let's hook up when I come down again and you can tell me the rest of the tales.
  10. Here are mine, I can give you the hi-res if you end up being interested in any of them.
  11. It's really good. An informative book as opposed to one where you'll walk away with a gameplan to use the information. But I have been able to apply the concepts he's presented to a lot of different arenas, and it has made me more aware of the "outlier" concept when looking at things. I'd totally recommend it, I couldn't put it down when I started reading it and finished it in two days. I'm currently reading "Trust Agents" by Chris Brogan, great book about social currency.
  12. Mmm...Crystal Cove...my favorite breakfast I've ever had.
  13. Those two sentances show why Tom is a class act, and why the people who attend the events he plans always come away smiling and laughing. He puts others first in every aspect of his life, I see that every time I'm with him. Having been his friend for awhile and seeing how much he cares about the brand, the owners, the car community (not just Lambos) and his friends--if he says that it was the right decision for the management, then I believe him 100%. I have personally seen the level of work that went into this event, and it was huge (thanks to Joy as well!). We won't hear the whole story on the board and we don't need to. It won't matter to the ones that want to trash Winkelmann anyway--they're going to do that even if Winkelmann was flying out to do a double lung transplant. The brand is either promoted or it's not, and a few here made up their minds and nothing will change it. Oh well. I hope everybody had a great time on the run, I can't wait to see pictures, and it killed me not to be there (a new baby precluded it). Stay safe on the 11-99 run tomorrow!
  14. Not just one record, and Anthony has been a VERY smart businessman. He's extremely sharp on his business.
