Driftracer3 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 Holy hell. Thats crazy. Every other time the CGT pulls away from the SLR, drag or circuit. Thats impressive that it was the other way around for them.
aedmon640 Report post Posted June 6, 2006 i'm surprised the slr didn't get a better launch than the cgt, and that it pulled on it instead. Flame suit on* I really like the SLR, however, i only think its worth ~250k. I don't think it will be long before they are had for that. I'm at the opposite end of that car spectrum myself, I just have a soft spot for Porsche I guess.
Ciao Baby Report post Posted June 14, 2006 It is my understanding that Mercedes has produce an uprated SLR for the final year or so of production wonder if it is the new SLR that edges out the porsche. In any case very impressive for a automatic GT to beat that track beast ///MNK
pilone Report post Posted June 19, 2006 That makes me really nervous and angry... :| Anyway I'd have a CGT...
highroller FXX Report post Posted June 20, 2006 I really don't like the SLR at all. I've seen it at the nyauto show and it does nothing for me. I hate how it looks like it's covered in scails. It jsut doesn't thrill me.
3rdandlong Report post Posted July 6, 2006 The SLR is impressive as a GT that can hang with the Carrera GT, but in no way shape or form will it ever be a driver's car in the same manner....
qvpower Report post Posted July 7, 2006 I think it would be more of a drivers car in that the car allows the driver to explore the car better. The CGT is great, but given that it is such a monster of a car, many can fully exploit the potential of the car without risking a wipeout...
