  1. Oh yeah, there was hysterical crying on her part and she moved out of the house.
  2. My buddy dropped the bomb a few days ago....pretty crazy news to hear, especially when the phone call starts "____ left me." "What, you mean you're free this weekend?!".....OH. SHIT. Even crazier that they are newlyweds more or less....a few months they've been together. He sounded down like I've never heard him down before...he seems really sorry about it and acknowledges his mistake. He truly loves her and wants to be with her, and admits to being an idiot....he wants nothing more than to get her back. While he did have sex with this other woman, he did not admit to this and neither did the other woman (who happened to receive a phone call from the wife and insisted on detailing their time and "relationship" together....WTF??). So I think it's just an admission to kissing, whatever that's worth in the plea bargain world of adultery. Anyways, I wonder if it's realistic for him to get her back? Unfortunately he does have a blemish on his resume....another affair from several years back. I'm there for him 100%, right or wrong...and will do whatever it takes to help him. I'm keeping it all positive, trying to keep it in his mind that he has a shot regardless of whether he does or not. He's one of the few good friends out there. BTW, not that it makes it excusable or anything but the other woman was a sexy stripper we met at his bachelor party. The lure of p**** is mighty strong, and I sure as f*** nobody here or myself gets caught up in these situations.....very scary stuff.
  3. Nice. Good to see fans of both!
  4. Standard issue clothes for a drive on the highway
  5. '04-'06 GTO 6.0 I was in the market for a G35 coupe last summer, test drove it , liked it. My friend demanded I drive a GTO.....drove it, and bought it the next week for $26k with 6k miles. Now you could probably buy a new one from the dealer for a little more than that since they stopped making them. The power and sound is great of course, but the car is clearly well built and well rounded. The interior is above and beyond anything I could have expected from the car. The attention to detail from the stitching of the leather to the cool gauges, pedals, shifter is clearly unAmerican......the Austraulians know what's up! The handling is decent, but for real prowess there are some well sorted kits for this car for $2-3k that will really raise the stakes. The car is heavy (~4000 lbs), and the steering is slow, so while it can be made to lap tracks quickly, it will never be as lithe as an M3 or some other lighter sports coupes. It's major strength is high speed cruising, 6th gear 80-90 mph doing 25 mpg... I consider myself a purist and I completely overlooked this car 110%. I'd imagine many others have as well...clearly one of the most underrated cars of recent times. I feel ashamed really as I tend to know everything about every car out there and only knew that this car had a 400 hp motor... It's not a striking car styling wise, or a replacement for a serious sports/exotic car. But as a daily driver with balls, refinement, and luxury it's impressive. Hopefully Pontiac won't drop the ball marketing the G8 like they did with the GTO. I'd like to swap rides with some Evo and STI guys.....definitely a different flavor of ice cream!
  6. This is cool if it benefits AM. I don't get why Ford dropped AM? I know they are in financial difficulty, but AM now compared to when they bought it?? LOL. Night & day difference. IIRC , they've sold or are intending to sell more of their marques.....
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qArzSL0ZdCU...ated&search When I see the speedo shot and sound of the E55 AMG accelerating, its as if you can FEEL the power of the damn thing!! For those who love to watch aggressive powersliding, this is a must see video!
  8. I haven't driven either the Cayman or the Viper, but to hate on the Viper as those have done is kinda silly... Thrill factor there is absolutely no comparison.....unless on a nice tight winding road maybe. The Viper isn't a perfect car.....far from it. But at the end of the day, we'd all be hard pressed to ignore such violent power when it's available.
  9. <-stupid The Esprit is far more exotic than the rest listed here...let me rephrase...the Esprit IS an exotic, the rest aren't! M3 is a cool car, but if you don't need an all arounder, it could go...
  10. Guys, you gots to drive the cars and make the judgement, not look at the #s only... The Ferrari F430 has more charisma than a Gallardo (but not sure about SE)....and the only 911 with real charisma these days is the GT3 (and maybe the GT2). The Plastic mess-06 is a front engined car, so it may never be the greatest on that virtue alone. The Ford GT is a real beast, and it's more fun than any new car south of $300k these days, IMHO...
  11. A funny reply you write, QV, but it amazes me how much energy people put into this competitive thing... It's approval seeking at it's most basic level. The only automotive bragging I respect is how good of a driver you are....measured by your ability to lap tracks faster than others in similar machines and/or amazing car control. And ironically, 99% of people who can impress with their driving abilities are the last people to talk automotive smack...
  12. And the "brown note" is an extremely deep frequency....felt , not heard. Are you implying the Enzo had a very deep exhaust tone? Or are you implying it's "shit"? Did you hear the car opened up or just idle? The sound of a Ferrari can only truly be judged under acceleration...
  13. The 355 has a design that's too clean to ever be considered ugly. Maybe not the most exotic car ever made, or starting to become dated, but never ugly. Styling wise, it was the last great V8 from Maranello...
  14. <-stupid If you like the old school Ferrari/Lamborghini "feel", then you'll like the 348. It's the last of the small Ferrari V8 breed in that regard (like the 512 TR/M was for the 12 cylinder line up). It also is a noticeable performance improvement over the 308/328....in line with the 355. Major shame Ferrari does not make cars like this anymore.....even the clutch/shifters on the new cars are soft I hear. Before diving into 348 land you need to really learn about it....there are so many variants to this model that it warrants its own FAQ. General advice here is to buy a '93-'95 model year car. 348 Serie Speciale (SS) is a good model as is the Spyder.
  15. <-stupid I don't get out a ton from test drives either....even those lasting half an hour to an hour. It's fun, but nothing like owning it I can imagine.... One day!
