Lamborghini - the numbers are from various official docs....

In 2000, they reportedly built 201 Diablo 6.0, 60 Diablo GT and 35 ME Roadsters.

In 2001, they reportedly built 215 Diablo 6.0 and 65 Murcis.

Thus we end up with 416 Diablo 6.0's with an indeterminate mix of 2000/2001 VIN years as the above production figures are for calender years. Of these, 40 were stated as SEs.

Allegedly, no 2000 VIN'ed Diablo 6.0's were built for the USA market yet 150 2001 VIN'ed Diablo's were.

The excercise was to validate some of these numbers. The first numbers we went after were the zero 2000 USA Diablo 6.0 VINs and 150 2001 USA Diablo 6.0 numbers. So far we have found zero 2000 USA VINs and 141 2001 VINs. No other number from above has been looked at.

In reference to my "simple" scan of the ILR, the 451 number minus out the 60 GTs you get 391 which is a lot higher than the 260 the ILR reports and is getting very close to the 416 reported - but thats all that can be said - nothing more.

PS Sites like lambocars also report 40 SEs : http://www.lambocars.com/dia/dia60se.htm

Who told you there are only 40 6.0SE made?

There are more than 150 VT6.0 & 6.0SE for US market.

Of the 141 that I have this includes the U.S. SE's as their VIN #'s are sequentialy mixed in with the 6.0 VT vin's. I do not yet know if I can tell from the full CarFax reports if I can tell which ones are SE's.

You can't.

Kevin,

I don't think it's unfair to ask. Can you tell me. If you know of more than 150 U.S. 6.0's (SE & VT) do you know if ANY of them are ones which have NEVER been registered?

Here's a kicker for you, I know of a non SE 6.0 that was built AFTER most the SE's were already built...

a-faz,

I also know of one very early U.S. model (pearl yellow) which was sold new to someone in Europe (I think the UK) I don't know if it is still there or if it EVERY made it to here. At the time it was one year old with almost 25,000 miles on it. It was being marketed as a U.S. model to help find a buyer. I can assure you that the vin was a correct U.S. vin. I did not make any note of it as I did not think that some day I might need it. :icon_mrgreen:

In 2000, they reportedly built 201 Diablo 6.0, 60 Diablo GT and 35 ME Roadsters.
Lamborghini built less than 200 Diablo 6.0 & less than 40 Diablo GT in Year 2000.

In 2001, they reportedly built 215 Diablo 6.0 and 65 Murcis.
Lamborghini built less than 200 Diablo 6.0 & more than 80 Murcielago in Year 2001.

Allegedly, no 2000 VIN'ed Diablo 6.0's were built for the USA market yet 150 2001 VIN'ed Diablo's were.
There is Model Year 2000 Diablo 6.0 built for the US market.

As I said earlier, there are more than 150 Diablo 6.0 built for the US market as Model Year 2001.

Good luck finding the rest of the Model Year 2000 & 2001 US Diablo 6.0 VINs then.

If all you can do is to look up numbers at International Lamborghini Registry, Lambocars.com & Lamborghini’s “official documents”, and do some “simple math.”, then good luck finding the true Diablo VT6.0 & 6.0SE production numbers.

Dan, hope you enjoy my PM about your VT6.0's full report.

Dave, I have more than 150 VT6.0 & 6.0SE for US market that are US registered.

That number doesn't include the "never registered" one.

Mike, I know of at least 6, haha.

I can confirmed the "very early U.S. model (pearl yellow)" 6.0 that Dave mentioned is a real US model, because I have the VIN of that car.

As I said earlier

In my database, my first VT6.0 VIN start at YLA122xx, and my last 6.0SE VIN ends at 1LA1289x.

Now you know why we went looking into vehicle registration databases!

I have found somwhere (don't remeber now where) that they made 337 6.0s and 44 6.0 SEs. Maybe these numbers are closer to the correct ones.
