azlambo Report post Posted February 27, 2012 Got a coolant leak in my '99 Diablo. It's dripping from the bottom of the metal plate that bolts to the engine block. Can't see a lot back in there. Any ideas? Also, the larger belt goes around two pulleys. Is the top one the water pump or the bottom? The bottom one has the metal piece with the holes that attaches to the engine. The top one also has the skinnier belt that drives the power steering pump. Any experts out there?
abolfaz Report post Posted February 27, 2012 Looks to me that your water pump shaft seal is leaking.

Sudesh Report post Posted August 20, 2013 Hi, Sorry to bring up an old post, but wanted to add that, from your pics and info, it would seem you are/were getting a drip from the weep hole of the water pump, the hole serves a purpose to let us know in advance that the seal/pump is going bad. Was this the case for your car? And did you eventually replace the water pump?
Sudesh Report post Posted August 20, 2013 Heres a slightly better pic of the weep hole Ive marked the hole with red arrow, this is something that all owners should keep an eye on, if you start seeing a leek from around the same are as posted above, get the car up and see if its coming from the weep hole.
