Egear Problem - 2004 Gallardo - Please help

I was on vacation for a month and came back to a dead car. I jump started it, but now the Egear is stuck in Neutral with the N lit up and R flashing. Could I have blown a fuse or are there bigger problems I should be looking for? There is no fluid on the floor and the egear pump doesn't seem to be priming anymore.

Thanks in advance for the help.

It's your battery. It needs to be fully charged before egear can work. You need to hook it up to a battery charger (not a maintainer). If there is no power supply, you may need to remove the battery to recharge it. It's pretty easy if you know how to take the front tub out.

You can also try leaving the car running a little longer to see if that charges the battery enough. Keep an eye on the coolant temp though. Don't let is overheat.

In the future, always keep a battery tender on the car plugged in. Or disconnect the terminal if you leave the car sitting longer than a week at a time.

It seems to be something more than that. I've charged it with a battery charger for the past few hours and there is no difference. Engine starts up without any problem, but E-Gear is still in Neutral with Reverse flashing. Any other ideas?

OK, so I got a chance to check the car out a little more. The main E-Gear fuse (30A) was blown. I replaced it and it is fine now, but the pump still doesn't prime when I open the door and it is still stuck in neutral with a flashing reverse when started. Is there anything else I should be checking?

The one behind the passenger seat along the side is the one I replaced. I didn't see any other ones. Which one are you referring to?

Yes I have had this same issue multiple times as a matter of fact. My certified dealer said I needed a new e-gear actuator which we all know is extremely expensive. So I figured let me see if I can fix it myself. I checked my e-gear fuild/oil and it was completely empty. So I bought the TULELA oil from my dealer and filled it up. Still didnt work. Steve Arena at Arena Motors was extremely helpfully, told me I could possibly get lucky by bleeding the lines from one little screw, but he said it my not help because you need to physical take the actuator off in order to bleed it properly. Anyway I did as he said and sure enough it has been working.
