Allan-Herbie Report post Posted March 14, 2015 Two Countachs crossed the block and neither met reserve. An 83 red carbed no saled at 380k. And an 87 Qv, the pearl white wingless QV that Palm Beach Lambo sold no saled at 360k. Interestingly not much of a price difference between carbed and F/I. Rouleur Report post Posted March 14, 2015 2005 Super America brought 100k less than what was predicted. I think prices have plateaued. Market was crazy for a while. Weather is crappy as well though.

Allan-Herbie Report post Posted March 14, 2015 bubble bursting. Dunno about bursting... 360k plus fees equals 400k for a Qv with no wing. Almost 100k more than a Qv DD brought about a year ago , at same auction I think.

IanMan Report post Posted March 14, 2015 I'll probably get hated on, by those hoping to seek rising value in their cars, but I'm really happy that these cars aren't selling at the moment. As a Countach freak who can't wait to buy one and is working towards one, it's really good news for me, because it means that I have a better chance and a little bit of time at achieving one. Most of these cars going to auction I feel aren't going to get driven the way they deserve, if at all. Allan, do you know if the last two cars that hit the auction block were in need of restorations like a lot of the other cars recently? Maybe people are actually doing their research now? Auction info for both. They look to be two top tier examples without any major work needed.
blowndaytona Report post Posted March 15, 2015 i cant speak for the 5000S, but I saw the Goodings QV. I have to say it was a very average driver example. I think 360 plus 10 percent was a strong bid for that car.
