Underground Racing Report post Posted November 9, 2011 (from our transmission dept.) Thanks for your interest in Underground Racing Powertrain Technologies. As you can imagine, it isn't easy getting a transmission to live behind an Underground Racing engine making anywhere from 1,300 to over 2,000 hp. Nonetheless, we've been pioneering modifications to the Graziano Transmission Group box ever since we overpowered the first one nearly four years ago. For the Gallardo Manual or E-Gear box, we currently offer 24 different gear ratio spreads for your high performance vehicle. From drag to mile, roll racing, or 60-130 we have a gear spread to ensure that your car is using its power as efficiently as possible. Or if your transmission has gotten noisy, with a bit of a howl while cruising or a squeal or chatter while turning, we have a refresh service, which is ideal while the trans is out when getting a new clutch. Plus we can spice up the stock box with a blend of oem style gears for a few more mph or reduced rpm while cruising, without sacrificing the quietness or smoothness of the stock box. We also offer transmission case augmentation and the latest in proprietary alloys and gear tooth profiles, with upcoming asymmetric tooth profiles for the ultimate in strength and efficiency. Chipster Report post Posted November 9, 2011 Nice! Seems like a worthwhile investment if you have a TT
asscelerator Report post Posted November 9, 2011 Beautiful, do you do anything else to strengthen the drivetrain? Aftermarket driveshafts, clutches, anything to the 4wd system?
Underground Racing Report post Posted November 9, 2011 Beautiful, do you do anything else to strengthen the drivetrain? Aftermarket driveshafts, clutches, anything to the 4wd system? The rear ones are the only ones needed IMO as we have never hurt the fronts with all the racing we do. We stock the upgraded rear shafts. uzzirider Report post Posted November 9, 2011 reduced rpm while cruising, without sacrificing the quietness or smoothness of the stock box. That would be a nice option. 3500rpm while highway cruising in 6th is stupid. Would love to drop that down a bit. Can you do just 6th gear, creating a sort of 'overdrive' gear? Underground Racing Report post Posted November 10, 2011 That would be a nice option. 3500rpm while highway cruising in 6th is stupid. Would love to drop that down a bit. Can you do just 6th gear, creating a sort of 'overdrive' gear? Cant modify 6th gear on the stock gear set, we would have to do either go with a full custom set OR just change the final drive gears. That is the first thing that I noticed about a Gallardo the first time I drove one, I hated the RPMS being so high while cruising in 6th gear. Problem solved

Thanks - Sounds like the final drive swap out might be the more cost efficient way to get a lower HWY cruise RPM.
RIPPERTT Report post Posted November 12, 2011 One of THE best upgrades for these cars.. I hated my sixth gear rpm too. Was unfortunate for me my car was getting finished up about the time UR was starting to test some of the new parts and I didn't want to wait an longer to get my baby home.
