  1. No, I know a guy in southern Maryland. Near PAX naval air station.
  2. Just did it past weekend. Was a blast. L39 is a trainer. Pretty simple but absolute blast. Pulled about 4gs and got to take over controls somewhat. You get an initial feel for it pretty quick as far as elevation and turns. Even let me do a few barrel rolls. Think we hit 400 knots. Not F18 territory but you get an idea how quickly things happen up there. We were limited to 5000ft per cloud cover but a lot of fun. Was only 5 min from my house so nothing quite like an inverted iPhone pic from 500yds over your house for the family photo album. All you have to do is sign a handful of waivers and undergo a preflight ejection protocol, which is obviously for liability because at our elevation and my experience, if the pilot didn't eject me then my next of kin would be writing this review. Haha. The ground comes up quick at that speed from such a low elevation. No helmet required so you really get some fantastic views. Canopy is wide open with little restrictions. All the controls are in Russian so was a bit difficult to know what I was looking at but I didn't really care. Was laughing too hard
  3. Probably not as Im not even advertising it. Just drive around town when I feel like it. Have 3 other cars so it doesnt get alot of miles. I like the C63 AMG....although not a very big Mercedes, has plenty of room for kids or chics in the back, a nice trunk, and is a rocket in disguise. Toasted a Mustang Cobra the other day, although you never know what those cars have in em. I havent seen specs on it, but I would bet its a solid mid/maybe 12.30 car. Pretty damn fast.
  4. Can someone give me the skinny real quick...I understand the newer SLs have the cats integral in the headers unlike the previous generation SLs which were separate after the headers. Im assuming then that to run catless would require an aftermarket catless header similar to the 360 ferrari series.?? Does anyone make these yet and do the SLs have post cats as well as those in the header themself??
  5. I have one Ill probably be unloading soon. Want another GTR. Its a 2010, 12k miles, silver on black, clearbra. Nice car and surprisingly quick. Kept up if not pulled my friends 01 360 Modena with tune and exhaust.
  6. Color is subjective but I tell you the grigio telesto is the only lambo color Ill go with. On my 3rd in this color. Had 2008 Superleggera, 2008 Murcialago and now a 2011 LP570 all in grigio telesto. The color gets so many compliments I cant count. Looks like a stealth fighter. The lambo stands out in traffic enough by design. I cant even imagine it in yellow or green. Not my taste anyway. So many people have come up to me and said that was the most unique color theyve ever seen and the best looking lambo ever. Just my .02c.
  7. Yeah, you can youtube it. There are 5 or 6 videos up. Im a car whore and only keep something 6 months or so ballpark. I searched long and hard for that car and have it set up perfect with exhaust and clearbra. But I just dont have time to drive it much and it takes up space. I dunno. Crazy how one can get bored with anything. I should take medication.
  8. Yeah, thats it . Sorry. Yellow stiching on black. Yellow calipers. OC exhaust. 2 yr PPO Lambo warranty good for another 18 months. Gloss black wheels. Books, keys, cover. Clear bra on front, complete side sills and behind rear wheels. Battery tender. Sweet car and mint, just dont drive it enough to justify. $229k. In Maryland. Send request to [email protected] and Ill send pics.
  9. I have one I may be selling soon. 2008 grigio telesto, 6 spd man, 3xxx miles, clear bra, Qtira interior
  10. Ive had one of almost everything so heres my .02c... The GTR is an amazing machine. Hands down the best bang for the buck on the market today. Gets plenty of looks (allthough mostly from the teenage crowd), is crazy fast off the line, has loads of cool tech, and has room for crap in the back and a normal trunk to boot. Mine has a full catless exhaust and COBB with custom tune and is a rock solid hi- 10 sec car that Grandma could drive fast. I would post it against any 1000 hp RWD car on street tires at a stoplight up to about 100 mph most any day. Its a hellofa lotta fun to drive and I cant really say enough good about it. It may not have the build quality or interior of a 997 turbo, but its $70k on the barely used market and a no lose situation to own. That being said, it might as well be a rolling turd when its parked next to my LP640. The Lambo will not beat it off the line but from 120+ on its on top regardless of the tune on the GTR. Problem is..at that speed you will go to jail in a heartbeat and its really not worth it to me anymore. The Lambo could come with a 4 banger and would stop traffic anywhere. Its an attention getter which is cool as a sunday cruiser or a once in a blue moon warrior on a nice day. The attention gets old quick though. But its an extremely unique car that is just plain and simple bad ass ...no other words necessary.
  11. Damn, if it were any other color than that hideous lime green, who knows.
  12. 2007 Porsche turbo, 10k miles, 6 spd, slate gray on tan leather, Cat and muffler bypass, softronic ECU upgrade, sport chrono, tint and clearbra, nice. Email [email protected] for pics. $80000 Located in Maryland
  13. Any idiot who believes carfax is always accurate can buy some nice oil soaked beachfront I have in Louisianna. Mileage is religiously messed up on carfax even when there is no KM to Mile issues. DMVs type something in wrong, people make errors. The KM to mile issue is readily believable and should not deter someone from purchasing. I would go over the car in detail and physically look it over. Carfax can be corrected. Ive personally seen the km to mile issue screw up 3 carfaxs in the last 2 years.
  14. Anyone know of any grigio telesto LP640s for sale anywhere? Dont like any crazy yellow or orange interior. Love the Qtira cross stitched pattern black w/ gray but hey...why get picky. Shoot me a PM if you come across any. I would surely appreciate it.
  15. $145k. Going once, going twice.....
  16. Sensors were cleaned and backed off exhaust stream. Didnt do it myself but seemed to work fine. 2000 miles with no issue.
  17. Does NOT have CCBs....forgot to mention that. Have never tracked car. Mostly just a weekend cruiser. Looking for an LP640 so the super G will have to go. Must say the exhaust really wakes this car up. Its a little loud for some people since it is catless, but sounds absolutely wicked under acceleration. Have stock exhaust and get no CELs. Car has been flawless. Sets on trickle charger in garage and I start weekly during winter. Only reason for selling is to get an LP640. Send me a request to [email protected] and Ill forward some pics.
  18. 2008 Grigio telesto superleggera. 4000 miles, egear, camera, wing, full clearbra, Larini exhaust, tint. Full service just completed. Tires 90%, clutch 94%. Perfect car. Both keys, cover, tools and trickle charger. 1 yr warranty remaining. $149k Maryland
  19. I simply put Larini cat bypass pipes on my 08 superleggera. Sounds wicked, no CELs. A little loud for a daily driver, but I only put 2-3k miles a year on it anyway. Louder is better. And shoots flames at night.
  20. Figured it was a long shot, but any 1 owner LP640s willing to do cash + trade for 08 Superleggera, grigio telesto, egear, no CCBs, wing, camera, carbon, clearbra, tint, 4k miles. Cant hurt to ask.
  21. I have an superleggera with Larini test pipes in place of the primary cats. NO CEL to date after 6 months or so. Pressure and O2 sensors relocated farther from exhaust stream to trick ECU into proper operation. Loud as hell now but the way it should sound IMHO. Slight backfire on decel and shoots flames visible at night. Neighbors say they can hear me coming from miles away. Love it.
  22. Check out www.swiftmotorsports.com. They have a motorized front tag bracket I have installed on my superleggera. Too efffing cool if you ask me. Tag resides out of site on undercarriage up tight. Push a key fob and it pops out motorized. The look on the officers face is priceless when he pulls you over for no front tag, then by the time he walks up to your window the tag is up and in place. I play dumb and usually say...."What do you mean there is no front tag?". He walks up to front to look and its there. Twice so far he said sorry and scratched his head like he had a hard night out drinking. The trick is not to laugh and bite your tongue.
  23. Simply connect the terminals and plug in. I put a towel in the trunk latch and then gently close trunk (not latch) with wires running to outlet. Leave plugged in for week or so on end until I drive again.
  24. Am I an idiot reading these posts. The battery on my Super G is in the front trunk, behind the access panel, centered in the car. Literally simply undo hand screws, connect charger to terminals and let charge for a few hrs. I connected a trickle charger up to the terminals and plug it in after every drive. Never had an issue.
  25. Bought my superleggera and had rear tint. It was bubbling rather bad but I had it removed no prob and reapplied. Installer told me he couldnt guarantee it wouldnt bubble again since tint on plastic doesnt want to adher nearly as good as glass, but told me when it bubbled to simply have it peeled off and have him reapply. No issues with removal according to him.
