  1. Quince for good italian, it's a little fancy for kids. Stinky Rose is interesting, but different. Both are near north beach area, fun for a trip. Sebo or Kiss Seafood for authentic japanese, about the only two in town. No ambiance by american standard though. Thanh Long for Vietnamese crabs, locals get addicted to this place. Order their garlic noodle. Boulevard used to be the standard for genuine french/american food for the city until their head chef went to the sister restaurant a few blocks away. It's still great. Place isn't pretentious at all either, not bad for kids especially if reserve bridge view table. Fisherman's wharf is tough, Gary Danko is good, not sure if the kids will enjoy it. Mccormick and kuleto's is cheaper and fun ambiance, food is for non foodie. I wouldn't bother with the restaurant at the Clift. It comes down to what your looking for. The bay area is shitty in many ways, but restaurants are hard to beat. If food is a theme for the trip, I would hit napa area too. A few of them are quite special. Hope this helps.
  2. Not sure about the Ford. Toro, though, is to die for.
  3. All the mods take care of this place for nothing but the joy of all members. For that, I have a great deal of respect for all of you. And your intention is good here for not letting this thread potentially turn into an orgy of animal lovers. However, rules are often better adapted when applied fairly across the board. The same as what happened in the other thread where ‘ben’ posted info about his gf, every poster should expect all kinds of comments given that this is an open forum. I happen to love animals. That doesn’t mean I’m a vegetarian. But taking the time to plan and execute killings for entertainment is primitively cruel. There is no beauty in that.

    Oh Yeah!

Your apology would be more effective with the removal of that link.
  5. Are you frequently in and out of the garage after 10pm or before people normally get up? If you weren't, just take him out for a spin. It should solve the problem. Being a little more considerate can make your own life easier, sometimes.
  6. I take it your wife hasn't discovered this hideout yet.
  7. I had my realtor look into this house. I was told that it sold early this year for 10M. So I stand corrected.
  8. He's a professional athlete, one of the best in his game. But there's something else that he is, an entertainer whose primary audiences probably not fond of being seen as in favor of adultery. He really can't complain about being under the spot light since that's clearly what he wanted. Lots of people admire him for whatever that image he's been building himself, and it turns out he's a cheater like the rest of them. That makes him somewhat a phony. Can't win it all. If you enjoy being paid remarkably well for being someone, you'd better be exactly that even if you are not. Plus, today's world is different. I highly doubt all this publicity will in fact do him any harm. It most likely just opened up a whole new sector of followers for him as far as being an entertainer goes. It's not like he tried to rape someone or released a homemade porno cuz that would really murder someone's career thesedays. He'll be loved again in 6 months.
  9. That's some amazing talent. He deserves to live in a museum.
  10. Maybe she did, unless her condition is the result of health issues. Some people are born big and stay that way throughout their short lives. I remember about 10 years ago when I ran into a person like that. People were either staring or not looking intentionally in quite obvious ways. It was pretty sad, and that scene just stuck with me.
  11. That sucks. Look at the bright side, any of us would still rather be in your situation than being that 500lb woman. Imagine how her day goes...
  12. Don’t confuse the Hollywood party pads seen in this thread with those truly avant-garde works of aforementioned names. Most of the masterpieces throughout history took decades to finish largely because of lack of efficient construction techniques. Of course the need of skilled hand craftsmanship was a major factor as well. But really sit down and understand the conceptual development as well as construction process of a Renzo Piano project, and tell me it’s any less extraordinary than that of Brunelleschi’s. The criticism on innovative architecture research is a thing of the past. Remember what we consider classic today was all once contemporary throughout history. Don’t get me wrong, I would pick an original French Chateau over a 60’s modern in a heart beat. But it’s just silly to rip open a piece of land and fake out a classic building. You see this type of garbage all around the world. Here’s a house sold recently in Sea Cliff, San Fran. The architect did a terrific job blending new with old.
  13. The stirling moss is simply gorgeous.
