Um...so how does the car start now, without the push button ignition?...that was the cool feature of the Aventador, they didn't have to take that away.

I am curious as well. If it is smoother for the strada and sport modes I am all for it, but if it is going to smooth out corsa mode then it would kind of defeat the purpose of the corsa mode, being that it should be quick, violent, and jerky anyway.

As I understand, for US dealerships a build slot only becomes available for an Aventador only when that dealership has sold 2 new Gallardos. It entirely depends on how fast a dealership is able to sell 2 Gallardos. I've heard many cases of owners having to wait similarly as in your situation. I know it's only wishful thinking, but if I had a boat-load of money, I would easily order two LP-550's drive one of them for the meantime, sell the other one and wait 3-6 months for my Aventador to come in presuming a build date would open up rather quickly after buying those LP-550s. Sure beats waiting for a year or more, IMHO.

Yup I agree, black gloss is my fav color for the Aventador, just looks so freakin sinister and elegant at the same time.

I think breaking in the car is a good idea, but I would also have the same temptations of driving the car normally from the get-go.

I like the color and carbon fiber bits. The front sorta reminds me of a GT Spano.
