Have you given it a good smack? lol. Probably a loose wire harness causing the signal loss, or maybe you need to do a reset by unplugging and replugging the battery. If not those two than your situation is far worse I'm afraid.

Over 1K to fix a nail puncture? LOL you can find a small but decent shop that will seal the hole for $50.

Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 | Fastest Lambo Ever
Peabody80 replied to Fabspeed_Motorsport's topic in Archived Content
Misprint for sure. The 50th with enough decades being a very limited special edition has the potential to fetch millions, the SV? not so. -
Looks like the wing is for real, how disappointing lol. Anyways we all know the true SV is the 50th anniversary

After seeing what all the fuss was about, I have a new appreciation for the LP720. Can't wait to see how the facelifted aventador will look like though, rumored to be released 2018.

Fabspeed Aventador High Flow Sport Catalysts

Would these cats fit with other exhaust systems? -
Freakin' CA smog regulations. If you have time, as an option you could always take a roadtrip to the nearest state and get it installed at another dealership, e.g. Lamborghini Las Vegas or something. You folks are lucky they are only charging 12K and change, it's about 15K CDN for me.

Kreissieg Terrible customer service, closed or just asses

Buy another set? I'd just replace the catless test pipes with the stock ones and see how that sounds first. -

2015 Aventadors will NOT have a facelift or 'FL' version. Visually it will remain the same. Changes to it are to include a button to raise and lower spoiler, with mid model (Q2/Q3 Year 2015) having further option to raise rear vent intake plates. SV version is slated to be a 2016 release, and Canadian prices will break the 700K mark. I already have a deposit in, and have seen unofficial prototype renderings from the dealership, its head and tail-lights heavily influenced by the Veneno, power is expected to be close to 800HP, with rumors of a dual clutch haulover and electric hybrid drive added to boost power to over 900HP in the later lifecycle of the SV. -
Regarding the instrument cluster, I believe the changes were to increase the font and icon sizes slightly for easier read out.

Lubejobs42, If Kreissieg is giving you a headache I honestly doubt PowerCraft would be any better for you. In fact, I've read it is louder and more explosive, and still has that high-pitched frequency that you are seemingly trying to avoid. I would think something like Capristo or iPE would be more inline with what you are looking for, something that still has a lot of bite but improved mid-range, but without that ear-deafening high-pitched upper range. -
I grew tired of it's 'clinical-sterile' ride, which is why I am in the process of getting a RWD conversion done. Should be interesting...

I'd say 325K, but doubt they will bite.

Dude says to his friend "I got a Mansory Aventador, you gotta check it out!!". Friend says "A what?? Man-Aventador?". Dude says "Just come over, you'll see". Friend comes over, takes a look, shakes his head, looks over with the most resentful look ever and says to Dude "Man...Sorry".

Does anyone know off hand if they are offering factory authorized options to retrofit earlier 2012's with the improved suspension? I know we have aftermarket solutions regarding further lowering the stance of the vehicle, but that is not something I am looking for. Thanks in advance fellas!

Those pieces look amazing.

What would be a fair price on this Aventador?

Primary cat delete, factory exhaust intact?
Peabody80 replied to Peabody80's topic in Archived Content
Hi Topjay, It was more time consuming then anything. I believe they mostly used a plasma cutter so a steady patient hand was needed. They dismantled the rear end the night before, and by the afternoon next day they had it patched up and ready to go. -
Primary cat delete, factory exhaust intact?
Peabody80 replied to Peabody80's topic in Archived Content
Hi Roy, That was a first concern for me, so what my fabricator did was taper off a small area about halfway through and basically bottlenecked it. Honestly the drone or lower end frequency while at idle sounds like a normal devalved exhaust, only slightly louder. Although what I noticed during super hard accelerations in the tunnel it gets really high pitched after driving around for a few hours, like those old Murcies with aftermarket exhausts, and trust me that is not a complaint!! -
Primary cat delete, factory exhaust intact?
Peabody80 replied to Peabody80's topic in Archived Content
Just an update, Got the custom cat deletes done this afternoon and instead of getting the exhaust software update, just decided to plug up the valve for now. I think it sounds amazing and I am happy with the results. It sounds similar to a typical de-valved exhaust, but it's a little bit louder and gets pretty raspy and higher pitched in the higher RPM range. During deceleration it pops and rumbles. When it idles it kind of reminds me of of a muscle car with the loping and burble, but more high strung especially with the valvetrain noise. Got one CEL so far, but it was gone after I started her up later on. Throttle response is good, but feels "light and airy" if that makes sense, being that it seems like it climbs up faster in the RPM. If I decide to go louder I my consider the tube only exhaust from Tubi. -
Hi guys. Been thinking of deleting the primary cats and replacing it with a custom straight pipe or the one that PowerCraft offers, while keeping the stock exhaust but getting the factory software upgrade. Was wondering if the secondary cats in the factory muffler would suffice in terms of keeping the fuel smell low, as some decatted cars tend to have after removing the cats. Curious about the sound it should produce, how it affects back pressure, loss or gain of HP/TQ, CELs, etc. Need your opinions and experience please. -James
