One of the guys in question has actually spearheaded and done very well revitalizing ( on a large scale) an older part of town that is now Hipster heaven and exploding with growth. Most projects of his are commercial lower floors with lofts above , obviously way out of my current budget. The latest is a high end , 40 or so unit apartment directly across from the learning hospital here in the capital.

Where does one begin to look for commercial property listings ? I have couple of lunches lined up next week with a couple current long term clients of mine that are in the commercial RE business and from what I see, are doing very well. Budget wise I'm most likely looking at small Multi family properties.

It could and I wouldn't be on the streets but it would set me back a number of years.

The business section seems a bit dead so I'm posting here. After selling a couple of my cars I haven't been driving , I've got some cash sitting and doing nothing and it has me thinking more and more about what it COULD do. Its nothing anyone could retire on , low 6 , but substantial enough that I think it should be earning me something someway. Is it worth looking for a small apartment or townhouse complex ? Open a couple coffee shops? I am currently and have been for the last decade plus been running a fairly successful car dealership for someone else but owning one isn't something I am interested in. I know the easy answer is put it with the rest of my investments but I can't seem to shake the idea of wanting something more hands on with residual REAL income.

You don't understand the level of railroaded and cheated this near mentally disabled kid was in during this "trial" .

But once again , there is enough evidence in the documentary to warrant EVERYONE in this country being outraged and wanting to free these guys EVEN IF THEY ARE GUILTY. They didn't get a fair trial and any evidence that was omitted from the doc doesn't matter. Enough was shown that it proves they weren't given fair due process and that's enough. IF there is VIDEO of these two committing the crime, they should still get out because they weren't given a fair trial.

In theory here, you're right, but in this particular case you couldn't be anymore wrong. If you knew NOTHING at all other than the video clip of Dassey's attorney being in cahoots with the prosecutor and private detective in that room , you still have to let that kid go. Guilty or not. Guilt doesn't exclude you from due process and the only way these two will get that is through national attention because Wisconsin isn't going to do right by themselves.
