  1. hello, sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing. my Malaysia aventador is a MY13 and though it never had any electrical issues so far (fingers crossed) (i do hook it up to the battery charger whenever not driven and recently had a battery replacement as precaution after 4 years with the car), i have had start up problems. it would happen in high temperature stop and go traffic. i did some campaign at the dealer which included changing many parts and even the fan, and no problem for years until last year i couldn't start after stopping for gas, and as it turns out it was something about the starter. this was subsequently replaced as well. no problems since. total 3000 miles on the car so save for these incidents the car has been very reliable. i think if you can get your car to an authorised dealer with a competent mechanic as well as all software and parts campaign, you should be able to fix this. both my '11 gallardo and '13 aventador have been very reliable supercars (so are my F cars). hot and humid climate not friendly to these machines but there are fixes.
  2. my vehicle VIN ends in 16xx or 19xx (can't recall exactly now) but my dealer has written to me to make an appointment for the following campaigns: 1. Drivability enhancements with regards to software update. 2. A Belt tensioner upgrade 3. An Air duct replacement 4. Wheel housing rework. does anyone know what 2, 3 and 4 is about? I am asking my dealer for some details but no mention of radiator so perhaps mine came with upgraded radiators? Or i wonder if "air duct replacement" has anything to do with addressing overheating issues?
  3. sometimes i forget and leave the front up like that too! btw is it bad, mechanically, to leave it up for extended period of time?
  4. guys thanks for the input... figured it's an ineffective (read stupid) idea born out of desperation haha.
  5. hello all, this may sound really stupid but will tinting the transparent glass at the engine bay help cool down the engine? out here where i'm at the aventador is driven under 32-34c sun and generally very humid so the fan often runs very loudly even when driven mildly. one can even see crazy heat haze in the rear view mirror... so far i've not had engine overheating problems but it is not uncommon for other aventador owners... end up having to shut car down for it to cool or worse yet car wont start if engine temp too high. pls share your thoughts. thanks.
  6. i have a slightly different dilemma... im choosing between an F12 or 650s though both are very different cars. i must say the looks of the 650s is growing on me...
  7. hi NNL21 dropped you a PM. in malaysia the common problem is the overheating of clutch thus need to be especially gentle in heavy traffic. i have also heard of another problem whereby the car would not start if the engine is too hot (could take 1-1.5 hour to cool down). i will find out more including solution and post here.
  8. Brand new Aventador costs USD1 million here in Malaysia and USD5-6k in annual road taxes...
  9. oh my, why didnt i think of reventon matte grey on mine!!
  10. hi all, my first post, took delivery of a Nero Nemesis last week with this factory exhaust upgrade installed. indeed i had to sign a disclaimer and paid £1679 which is approx USD2600. really like how it sounds, but i dont have any basis to make comparisons. i was debating between an aftermarket catback such as Larini's or this upgrade but opted for the latter because i figured i didnt want the car too loud (and aftermarket systems are probably louder than even factory upgrade) and preferred to not have to worry about any warranty issues. still need to spend more time driving this thing, only 150 miles (of docile driving) so far...
