  1. OHHHH! that's gonna be coming for sure. hahaha! congrats buddy on the car.
  2. my 993TT has Protomotive Stage 1 upgrade. friendly gauge with the cousin
  3. i like the Mclaren. i think it's an engineering feat. you can feel that the car was made by engineers and very well built and thought of-like an overengineered car. it does everything well. go fast, ride comfortably and look decent at the same time. still, i'm kinda old school guy and think that the RS4.0 is still the best drivers car. but the MP4 has the best package among all of them. the 458 is sexier and the interior feels more exotic. however, i cannot get over the fact that it is utterly gutless -at least compared to the MP4 and FGT. i seriously think the MP4 is the better value car, you get more for your money, and i don't regret i choosing it.
  4. here is another race MP4 v. 2012 458. we started from a dig. 458 used launch control. i just stepped on the gas.
  5. i don't know because i didn't put a vbox this time. but my FGT vbox last year did 180mph or 290km/h at the end of the mile. same runway.
  6. the GT was running perfectly believe me. the MP4 was seeing speedo of excess 300km/h each and every time i put my foot down. i still think the FGT pulls harder, you can feel it, and it really loses ground on the shifts. but that's the fact of it, you have to shift on the FGT while it's seamless on the MP4. will post once the organizer get the formal event video done and hopefully we can see more there. but there's really no point in seeing the other races against the MP4 because there's nothing to see. all the other cars got left so far behind it's not even a race, that i'd just back off towards the end and still they couldn't catch up. the MP4 is really impressive. it really shines and pulls away on the top end, well into the triple digits (mph), as the case here.
  7. this was really the surprise of the day. i didn't think the MP4 had any chance against the tuned FGT. both are my cars. i was driving the FGT and had a buddy drive the MP4 as that's the easier one to run. hope you guys enjoy the vid. it was only the FGT that came close during that day. GT2RS, Ruf RT12, and most especially the 458 were so far behind. granted that the 34C ambient temp might have pulled a lot timing on the porsches. i wonder what the extra 25hp will do once i get it. really happy with the car and hope to write some opinions about it soon.
  8. if you are concerned about depreciation, i would look into the Ford GT or the Scuderia. i don't think you will also lose that much on an early murcie which can be purchased in the 130s. good luck.
  9. this is a very close race. obviously ferrari have made silent updates on the MY12 458 as this car performs way better than the 2010 that went up against the same SLS. unless there was something really wrong in the older car that we tested. http://youtu.be/HX-P1KeLP8s
  10. i'd like to see that for sure. then he retires.
  11. i'd still rather see Silva fight GSP at 185. granted many think he should fight jones, i think JBJ is just too big, fast, talented as well and much younger -not that i don't think Silva has no chance winning. even Silva admits that he's getting up there in age (37). i think the tale of the tape matches more evenly with GSP.
  12. my family is in the real estate business here in the philippines and squatters is a very very big problem if you have idle land laying around. if you don't put a security guard, which costs quite a sum, next thing you know there will be squatters inside the property. i fuX@#ng hate them. there are even professional ones that make a living out of it and begin charging rent to all those other that come after as if they are the owner. and since they are professionals, they will manipulate the justice system causing all the delays they can think of and it can take years before you can evict them. all these time making money out of the property they do not rightfully own or possess. what a sad story for the owner -cannot use land and have to spend thousands to get land back. i just wish on matter like this, really simple things if you ask me, you should just be able to go the court yourself, show your title and claim of ownership and if the squatter has no proof or less proof of right to possess, the judge will make a decision right there and send the sheriff to throw the squatter back in the street immediately. i know it sounds harsh but i hate squatters.
  13. don't even touch it. whatever comes out of the box is the correct gap.
  14. i wrote McLaren HQ in UK over a service concern since i have shipped my MP4 here in the Philippines where they have no dealer. within 24hours, a specific person replied to my concern stating that she will definitely bring up the issue to senior aftersales management. although it may take time, she mentioned she will get back to me. and that i should feel free to email her directly for any other future concerns. the fact that these people answer back emails promptly is really a good sign to their commitment to customer satisfaction.
  15. i reckon you can do that and get closer to the 670SV. but then again the 670SV can do the same thing and get gains as well albeit the effect is not as great as when done with a 640. also, the drive of the 640 is obviously better than the 1st generation. it's not worlds apart but you can feel the improvement in the composure of the car.
  16. per Vbox 60-130 in the same road and condition, my 2003 Murcie has a dead even time and rate of acceleration as an LP640, however i've done the following mods: DMS tune; RWD; exhaust and primary cat delete. still the 670SV is so much faster. over 1second faster still than both cars 60-130mph. this just gives you an idea on what has to be done to early murcie to match up the performance of an all stock LP640.
  17. tire pressure should be 35psi. the 45psi is the max tire pressure. you wouldn't want to use that.
